...I could get away (and not rub) to move to 37s when these shoes wear out? If I could get away with 1" or less, it would preserve the look I love, keep the center of gravity lower. Who here has already played with different configs?

I’m running 37s on a Teraflex spacer lift 2” up front and 1.5” in the rear, 2” bump stops. I did have to adjust the steering stops and remove the rear fender bulge piece (the piece between the inner fender and the rear steel bumper. I have been really happy with how it’s performed on road and off.

RAD! Looks like you're running spacers too...?

I don't want to run naked for fenders, but I can see why you had to. I'll keep workin on finding the happy medium for lift versus tires.

Also, forgive my ignorance, what differentiates "true 37s"? Are K02s true 37s? If they're a little bit smaller, that might aid my mission.

Looks great, and great info. Thanks!

Do you feel like you had to do 2" up front to clear? Ideally, I'd try 1&1, or 1.5&1.

You could also add Hauk fenders rather than a lift. They claim you can run 37s with no lift with their fenders.

I thought it was appropriate for what my needs were: cheap lift with a good combination of on/off road manners.

jeep is already .5 higher in the back. Thats why lifts kits always raise the front more than the back to get a leveled ride.

You need to consider the back spacing on the rims and flex of the suspension as well. Are you going to run the factory nerd rims? If so, you'll need significantly more lift. I have a 3.5" lift, 3.5" backspace rims and i still rub with 37s because I'm really flexy. (I don't rub with DD, just on trails.)

How well do the rubi axles perform with the 37s?
I've got 2 Rubicons with 37s and haven't had any issues. But we don't live in an area where we can rock crawl every weekend either.

Yeah I noticed that when I put my rubicon suspension on my sport. The sport had equal height front and back, but the spring numbers from rubi were +4 on front and +5 on back. My suspension came from a 2018 rubi, I've heard late 2019 and 2020 rubis with metal, hardtop, tow bump the sports +4 front and +4 back, so they might have leveled them now.

I jokingly call my Jeep the "overlanding edition" since I have to put a few lbs on the top to level it out lol.

Jeep Wrangler JL 37s: Currently running 35s (K02s) with no lift, and love the performance and the stance. But what's the minimum lift... 003F71C1-EAAE-4640-99D2-BF88169AF6C5

Where you were rubbing on the steering? Control arms or sway bar links?

On the street the tires rubbed the control arms at full steering lock. I adjusted the steering stops and that fixed it. I never had rub on the sway bar links but likely because of the steering stop adjustment that I did the day the tires were mounted.
