Hello all,

Putting together my new 2018 Ocean Blue JL--it will have MOPAR 2" or 3" lift

I'm in S. Florida, live very close to beach....
-most of the time I'll drive roads actually 95% of the time
-I'm going to play in the sand every once in a while just to have fun with this jeep
-I may also go west to hit a few trails and/or everglades.
-I would say, MOST would be 4 times a year I do a trail or Everglades.

My custom Jeep shop recommended Mickey Thompson's MTZ P3

-Looking at price approx $450 not sure this is good value

After some research--It appears the best VALUE for the dollar

-Falken Wildpeak AT3
-Milestar Patagonia MT (which seems like more AT)

Other tires I am looking at

-General Grabber ATX
-Cooper Discoverer AT3
-BF Good KO2/KO3

Any opinions on any of these tires? I'm looking for BEST value for dollar in terms of wear, usage, and ride

Thanks for any help

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Good list of tires, for strictly value hard to beat the Milestars, only have 2500 miles on mine but they've exceeded my expectations, and a good balance between a MT & AT.

thanks for feedback. Good to know. A local custom jeep place in Ft Lauderdale- SoFloJeeps uses nothing but the Milestars.

Meant to ask
Why did you choose Milestar ? And what other tires did you look at?

Those wheels will not fit on your jeep. They are the incorrect bolt pattern.

You need 5-127 5x5

Also keep in mind that -44 offset on a 12" wide wheel will be sticking out like a skateboard wheel. I would look at a wheel no wider than 10" and offsets in the 0 to -12 range for a more reasonable fit at the fender, I would also consider 18" diameters as well if they have wheel you like in that size.

And I picked the Patagonias due to price, looks, and the good reviews from this site from members I believe I can trust :)
I also wanted a tire that was reasonably aggressive without going to a full blown mud tire for better road manners, so far the Patagonias have checked all the boxes on my wish list.

Ok great thanks

So prob rims 18x 10 or 20x 10?
I wonder why this small custom shop recommending max rims/tires and only 2" lift since I'm doing skinny fenders maybe?
Seems like he recommending such big rims and wider tires

I do want 37s
But he suggested 20x12 rims

I'm going to look 20x10 with 37s

The the South Florida jeep style is big, wide wheels. Common sizes are 20x12, 20x14, 22x12, 22x14.

I'm not a fan of the big wheels but that is the style down there.

Take a look at the SoFlo jeep site. They will list tire and wheel sizes. See what you like and go from there.

Carlton knows his stuff^^^
It really depends the look that you're after, and another thing to keep in mind is you would be better suited to a slightly taller lift if you want to run 37s but w/ the thin fenders you have more room so maybe 2" will get you there but ???

Seems that most around here that run 37s run 17x9 or 18x9 wheels w/ offset no more than a -18 (the more negative your offset the further out from the fender your wheel will be). But at least if you end up running 20s w/ a 37" you will still have pretty decent sidewall height compared to running 20s on a 35" tire so there is that :)

So true Carlton, prob why my guy recommended 20x12 rims, 37 inch tires....
I actually visited SoFloJeeps
All their Jeeps are Milestar 37 inch and 4 inch lifts

On BBwheels I see only 1 wheel at 5x5 (5x127)
459 Wheels at 5x5.5 (5x 139.7)
and 607 rims at 5x 4.5 (5x114.3)

Will all these sizes fit? I've googled/researched relentlessly and can't find answer??

Thank you
