Hello! I have been looking into ordering a new JL Rubicon with the extreme recon package. It comes with a suspension lift and 35” tires but since the stock Rubicon already comes with a 1.5” lift I think the 35’s may be a bit too small. With that being said, I was wondering what upgrades I may need to do to my Jeep in order to safely run 37’s primarily on the highway. And if anyone has tire suggestions that would provide me with a bigger diameter than the 35’s but with fewer required upgrades that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Might consider the new BFG AT C-load rated in the 37" size, it's a bit lighter and smaller diameter than most 37s so it's more like a 36+. Should have less affect on the overall drive and still look a fair amount larger than a 35.

I'm assuming the bump stops are different and I've seen the photoshopped fender flare changes, but nobody can accurately answer that question until after it's produced/delivered.

I have 37s on my JL and the Mopar 2" lift and have since replaced the front and rear track bars and upper lower control arms. You will want to get wheels with backspace or offset of -18 mm for steering clearance (mine are 17x9.5 Offset: -18mm / Backspacing: 4.54" ). The larger tires will put extra stress on the track bar and control arms and having adjustable will help to get the alignment right. I used Steersmarts track bars and Clayton arms with the Johnny joints, I still need to grind about half inch from the rear pinch seam as it just rubs at full bottom out in the back but thats next. I was told that 37s wont fit with the stock wheels and they just fit with my wheels offset.

1" coil spacers and 1" longer bump stops might work. BTW, a wheel spec of 5.77, +25 work just fine with tires 12.5 or less wide. AEV and a couple other brands are available if you don't want the skate board look.
