I just had 35x12.5R17 Mickey’s installed on my stock JLURD wheels. No lift, although I do have 1” front coil spacers to get back what I lost from the steel bumper and winch. Just wanted to post this in case anyone is researching this specific combo.

No rubbing even at full steering lock, as expected. Obviously haven’t had it flexed out off-road yet. These tires ride great at 30 psi, better than the stock KO2’s. Almost forgot the big one - the spare tire fits with no modifications to the carrier with room to spare!

Speedo was adjusted with the Tazer and set to 34.5”, speedo is exact with that setting.

Thanks for the post and the pics. While I have a 2 door Willys, I know some day I’ll get at least a 33 inch on this one for sure.

it's always hard to tell from pics.... how do they look in person vs the KO2s?

Definitely look more aggressive. They’re closer in looks to the MT/R’s on my JK than they are to the KO2’s.

Plastic bumpers? If steel, they must run smaller than the 35” Toyo Open Country A/T3’s. Mine fits the spare tire carrrier, but just rubs the bumper slightly. Once the 5 tire rotations start, they will eventually wear enough and the spare will no longer touch the rear bumper.

My rear bumper is plastic. I’ve read from others on here that the plastic has a bit more clearance.

MikeEIB, thank you for posting your thoughts and photos. Those Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T tires look meaty. Nice!!!
Discount Tire did a fine job installing them too!

I’ve never been a “fanboy” until now with my MT BB AT’s. They’ve done everything I’ve needed of them without complaint. Airing down past 15 is a waste though with the stiff sidewalls and tread. I used a wheel chock to test envelopment with lower pressures and past 15, I saw no better conformation to the wheel chock. Honestly, I’d love a narrower C load option than they currently have. A 295 with C load 35” tall 17 or 18 would be perfect for me.

I’m currently running the 295/70/18.

The sidewall is more aggressive looking in person. That’s the first thing I noticed 4/7/21 when Discount put them on.

How do these tires compare in price to BFG's? They look nice. Might consider them when time to replace my 33's with 35's.

As of today at least, they are within $5.00 to $10.00 (per tire) of each other depending on the size, 315/70R-17 vs 35x12.50R-17
