I am on 35/12.5/17 NITTO M/T with stock Rubicon wheels and I never hit 8th gear. 😵💫

Let see on 37s
I have the JLURD diesel with 315x12.5 cooper sst pro and the engine dosen't even notice the bigger tires. Stock gears and stock suspension. The only time I drop into 7th gear is on steeper highway grades. Most inclines I stay in 8th. Off road the diesel just idles over obstacles. I am thinking about getting the MC 3.5 GC lift, but not in any hurry.

When I first got my JL, I put 35" Toyo MT's on it. I drove it with 35's for about a month, then after wheeling it a few times and dragging the belly over rocks too much, I decided to add a little lift. I found the Mopar lift for $795 online and ordered it. I had planned to stick with the 35's but after installing the lift, just felt the JL looked stupid with the 35's and 3" of lift, so I ordered 37x13.5 Coopers. I live in DFW too and commute about 30 miles on 121 to work. Unlike the JK which definitely felt slow on even 35's, the JL doesnt seem to take much of a hit from even 37's. I still drive 85-90 every day to work. I'll probably regear at some point but so far I don't feel a huge need to do so. I'm running 37x13.6 Cooper Discoverer STT Pros on 17x8.5 Mopar Beadlocks.

We have the budget lift with 37x13.50R17 Maxxis Razr Tires. I usually cruise the jeep around at 67 mph. The wife on the other hand drives between 70-80. She says it drives just like it did with the stock 33's. If it didn't she would tell me right away. These Maxxis Razr tires are amazing. they are quiet, handle really nice on the road, and are only "D" rated. I liked the fact that these are D Rated instead of the E rated that most of the larger tires are. These ride extremely smooth on the road. They even seem quieter than the Toyo MT's I had on my JKUR. We don't hear the tires at all on the highway.

You can see it clears the fenders but touches the front bumper outers. We removed these after testing. Now there are no issues.
The Jeep looks great!! How wide of a wheel and what's the offset and backspacing? I love the 13-5 wide and I'm looking to do the same thing 👍👊🇺🇸

I gave it a ton of thought on my Sahara. I do a good amount of highway driving. I went 37x13.50’s. V6 and Auto. I did test fit 38’s. I will prob go 38’s on my rubi.
Are those 18 inch wheels

FWIW, my JT Rubicon is on 37's and can do 80+ with no issues.

Steering/tracking improved once I had the steering box TSB done...

I've done up to 90 and it's as smooth as stock on 37s and beadlocks. Running a 2.5" lift. Set it up right and you likely not have many if any issues.

Here is how my Rubicon on stock suspension with 315/70/17 BFG Ko2s, (basically 35x12.50). They sit flush with the fender on stock wheels. No rubbing yet for daily driving. Haven't gotten out of the mall yet.

I love the look of this. Here in Pa, you'll get busted if they stick out. I want to get 37's & small lift & factory wheels. They shouldn't stick out either I guess.

They are essentially a 12.5. Going to a 37 should look the same.

I’m on dirty life bead locks, 37/12.50/ 17s. -12 offset, 4.5” backspace. Travel sometimes an hour or two on freeway to get to wheeling destinations. At 75-80 mph, like being in a car. I can’t pinpoint why it drives so good, could be the tire/rim combo, or my Frankenstein lift I honestly don’t know. Here’s how much they stick out. I realize not everyone has the same taste in rims but I’m really impressed by these bead locks, they balanced out with not much weight. They’re a little heavier than most rims, maybe that has something to do with it, it’s above my pay grade.....:)
