Hello everyone,

I am considering to put 35-inch tires on my stock wheels. I noticed several similar threads but couldn't find a definitive answer. Some suggested 2-inch lift + wheel spacers to run this setup, while others said they are running 35-inch tires with everything stock and don't have any issues.
Can I put 35-inch or 315/70/17 tires on stock 17x7.5 rims, with 2-inch Mopar lift and no wheel spacer?

Thanks!

My sales manager has 35's on his. Bone stock, no problems at all. 35x12.5 to be exact. Takes a little flex room out of the wells though. He tries to talk me into doing it every day :cwl:

I think you'll get a variety of answers since some tires might be a little smaller than others irl. I'm running 315 Mickey Thompson mud tires on my stock wheels without spacers and the mopar 2 inch lift and I get some rubbing at full flex and turned all the way. Spacers would solve it, but it's fine imo.

I'm running 35x12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my JLUR factory rims. The actual size is 34.76" according to their website. I didn't have any rubbing when I wheeled it a couple of weekends ago and we did a few tricky obstacles. I thought I might need spacers but doesn't seem like it so far. I also like the look of it with how it fills the wheel well. Looks like the tires it should have come with but couldn't for many reasons I'm sure.

You can see a couple of pics and a video someone else posted on this link:

I'm running 35" x 12.5" Nitto Trail Grapplers on 16" pro-comps with no issues, no rubbing even at full flex without a lift, though a lift is imminent lol
EDIT: sorry missed the "stock wheels" part of the post. Cheers!

Runnng 35 nitto ridge grapplers on stock wheels. You can run without the lift but it will rub. I have the Mopar lift now.

Have you experienced any rubbing after the lift? I think I will run the same set up as yours, 35" tires + mopar lift and no wheel spacer.

The pro-comps are nice looking wheels (with enough backspacing)! I picked a Jeep on the dealership lot with the $895 "polished lip wheels." Seems like it will be hard to sell those upgraded stock wheels at a decent price.....

I kept my stock wheels/tires for winter use as my Nittos's are not great in packed snow. I had to replace my lug nuts to use my pro-comps. here's a pic of stock vs my set up. Given your location you prolly dont need 2 sets of tires/wheels lol. be sure to post what you end up with. Cheers!

I wont have them on factory wheels, but I'll have Dick Cepek Extreme Country's (35x12.5x17) on some gunmetal and carbon black Gear Alloy Manifolds. They are 17x9 - 4.53 back space and -12 offset.. hopefully they come and I can get them on by Friday!

Looks great.

Did the MPGs take a hard or soft hit?

How’s the ride?

Most importantly, if I add the tires, then a week or so later add the lift, would the wife notice?
