If the tire "RESTS" on the bumper--THATS GOOD--
As long as you have some type of :"BUMPER STOPS" also, you want the LEAST VIBRATION on the spare !!!!!
My 35.6" HANKOOK at 30psi has about 1/16" clearance, so I have a--"LOAD RELIEF SHIM: to take some of the load off the STOCK SPARE CARRIER----
The spare "SLIDES" up the shim and is "SOLID" in place-
