I was considering the 2" Mopar lift but after seeing your tire set-up and the problems with the lift, I think I will stay with the stock suspension and the 285/75/17 tires in mud terrains on factory wheels. Just save 2k. Thanks

So how would it be with a 315-70-17 ? Would I need a lift or a reinforced tire carrier?

I seen the tire carrier is rated for 85lbs. KO2s in that size are 65lbs so you should be good there. They are 34.4" high I think they would be fine if that's the the tire you are looking at.

How is the ride going from the C load on the 285/70's to the 285/75's? I nearly went with that tire, but I had a hard time going with an E rated tire.

FYI the Nitto Ridge Grappler is available in LT285/75/17 in a Load Range C

Yes, I nearly gave it that tire a try because of its availability in a C load. But, I’ve run the KO, KO2 for so many years with great success that it’s hard to move to an unfamiliar product. In the end, I preferred the slight smaller KO2. Once I add suspension, I may give the 315 a go.

Nitto shows the Trail Grappler in 35/11.5/17 on their website in load range C also This will be the way I go if available, too much time on my hand waiting for my 2 door rubi

I sure thought I saw that the Rubicon tailgate was already capable of supporting up to the 35" tire...but I can't find it now.
No someone posted a photo with a 35 tire and it creased the tail gate. not worth taking a chance on having to spend money to fix the tail gate. cheaper to just go ahead and buy the spare tire reinforcement bracket
