I've done a lot of reading on this form and after countless hours of research I'd like to get a more definitive answer from Sahara JL owners.

currently on Sahara 18”x7.5” wheels with 255/70R18 tires, The Biggest issue is I live in a busy residential area and garaging the JL is mandatory so I can only raise the total height of jeep 4ish” to fit in garage. I plan to offroad/average now about once/twice a month. so lets say 15 offroad situations a month. Midwest Wheeling and alot of Public land/parks

In a dream world I'm throwing 35s on it just because thats every jeepers fantasy. Talk me through the realistic expectation to have aggressive and functional offroad tires, fender stickout is okay/wanted.

How can I build the most practical daily driver LOW AND WIDE Sahara? All stock atm except cosmetics. Would also like to hear wheel options when it comes to 35" size. Would like to keep stock rims if staying on small build side with 33s.

275/70R18
285/70R18
Anyone have pics of these sizes on stock JLs/Saharas

Tire Pressure Monitor system?

No fender modifications, Will go stubby front bumper before tires / would like to stick with rear bumper stock. stock Tire carrier should accommodate 33s fine, right? Plan to get Tazer Mini as well

NO Lift would be ideal! LOVE Stock ride want minimal suspension changes/ would like to upgrade things as they wear not rebuild an entire suspension…

If this helps, I believe quite a few folks have done rubi wheels/tires with no issues.

Looks like my build is right up your alley, in terms of fitting true 35s and making minimal modifications to make it work. Total lifted height is probably just under 4”

‘Skinnies’ 35x11.2 (285/75/18) Duratracs on 2” synergy coils, stock Sahara wheels. No wheel spacers.

The tires only weigh 60lbs, so there are almost no perceivable impact to acceleration and MPG, I’m still getting around 20mpg city and 22mpg on highway driving.

You're asking too many questions that makes it difficult for any one person to give you a precise technical answer without running into preference issues.

I get you live in the city. Most city garage clearance is 210cm or 82.5 inches at the absolute lowest point unless you've measured urs and tell me its lower.

Even if you go 3.5 inch lift with 37s, you won't hit. My neighbor is running that rig right now and we both park underground.

35 inch tires - True lift: +1.5-2 inches
2.5 inch lift (sahara 3.5 inch) - True lift: 4.5 inches bone stock no accessories
total lift: 6.5 inches max

Sahara stock height 74. True height 72 inches + 6.5 inches = 78.5 inches.

Why would you run 35s on Sahara dana 30/35s? I get its strong enough but you're pushing it.

I would just run 33s regardless of your aspect ratio and width or wheel size.

TPMS: I'm OCD like that so yes I got TPMS to check for slow leaks.

It's my personal garage so it really only is 4.5" from hardtop to contact. I'm leaning towards 33's but wanted to see how deep the rabbit hole really would be for 35s.

33's will fit without a lift. I ran them but then went 2.5" lift and 315/70/17's. The tire is 34.4" and the BFG KO2 + Rubicon wheels is one of the lightest wheel/tire combos I can find. I'm using the stock carrier with a relocation bracket to raise it up enough to clear the bumper.

So basically you'll probably want a small lift for 35's or you can put 33's on your stock wheels or swap on Rubicon wheels/tires and you do not need to modify the suspension.
