I just removed the plastic sub-fender flare pieces. LOTS of tire clearance up front at full turn now. It feels good to have that off my 'to do' list.

To remove them, you will also need to remove the plastic underbody guard.
Removing this will require a 5/16" socket to remove 2 screws, and something to pry out 6 or so plastic push pins. (After the sub-fender flare pieces are removed, you can reinstall the underbody guard)

Removing the sub-fender flare pieces, you will need a T25, a 9/32" socket, and something to pry out some plastic push pins. There are 5x T25 screws that are fairly obvious. The hex head screw is easy to see too. The sixth T25 is underneath and farther inward toward the center of the bumper than I expected. There is a visible plastic push pin centered on the back of the sub-fender flare piece ... that you don't need to remove. The one you need to remove pushes up from the underside.
(This pic shows the T25 screws back in place for safe keeping after the sub-fender flare has been removed.)

The job isn't hard ... just a little annoying to initially figure out why the piece wasn't coming out after removing the 5 screws. I hope this makes things easier for you. (I'm 90% sure of the socket sizes ... I don't feel like going back out to the cold garage to double check.)

Just use a razor utility knife to trim the "Euro" part of flare piece. The plastic is actually soft and trims easily. Then put the flare cover back in to protect the wiring. No need to use a dremel like others have posted.

Looks fantastic! Two thumbs up!

I have one question for you. I am seriously thinking about going with the Duratracs, but am concerned about a few reports I've read about tire noise. Could you tell me about your experience regarding tire noise from your Duratracs, so far? Thanks!
They are loud!! There were many reviews stating they had minimal road noise... definitely not the case with mine.

Thanks for the reply, Jessica. BTW, I was born in Atlantic City and grew up in Pleasantville and Northfield from the 6th grade on.

Hi All,

This thread was a big help, so although my rims are the same as others have posted, I thought I'd post a couple of pics, while also asking: what lug nuts are everyone using? Additionally, for those of you with 20" spares, what did you do about the spare rattling? I added tubing and rubber feet to the spare tire bumpers as discussed on a different thread. I was not aware this was an issue. Thanks again

I posted this in another thread, but haven’t received a response, so thought I’d try here. Has anyone experienced the below? Thanks in advance.

33x12.50r20 ridge grapplers on 20x9 fuel wheels. When driving on the highway and I take my foot off the gas, the Jeep weaves left and right. Severity of weaving increases with vehicle speed. Doesn’t feel like it starts in the steering wheel, rather from the body, and only happens upon deceleration. A couple of times it weaved back and forth enough to activate the stability control. Pretty disconcerting.

If you didn’t do anything to your suspension, try lowering the psi/re-checking the balance on the tires

Thank you. Didn’t change suspension. Lowered the PSI to 34 yesterday and still happens. Balance feels good at highway speeds - no shimmy, etc, but can have rechecked, and this only happens when lifting off gas and decelerating. Otherwise everything feels ok.

Hey all just got delivery of my wheels and tires. Went with pro comp 1069 and 295/70r17 nitto ridge grapples. Have rubicon take off suspension and .5in teraflex spacers for reference.

Let’s just say I looked at this thread at least 10 times prior to pulling the trigger...

Fuel Maverick 18x9’s with 1mm offset.
275/70/18 Falken Wildpeaks and overall, I couldn't be happier! Well, except for two pressure sensors not reading

Pics don't do any justice- looks so much better in person.

Nice look, but you need a RED UofL Cardinal plate on the front, it would look much better! Better color coordination.

Seriously, I like that you stayed with the 18's, I will probably do the same when my factory tires wear out. I was going to get 17 in rims, but the longer I go and see this kind of thing, the more I am willing to stay with 18 in rims. Nice JEEP
