Hey all,

I know this topic is probably one of the most discussed topics on the forum, but the majority of posts seem to be about the Sahara or the Rubi and I've struggled to find someone doing what I was planning (Though I know many people have definitely done it). I have a 2 door 2021 JL Sport S and the original plan was to get a set of Rubi take offs with a set of 35" BFG KO2's, but I was worried about the wheel biting in the well at full turn. If not the Rubi take off's, I also like the Black Rhino Glamis 17x9 (they have a -12mm offset). It's a daily driver with light offroading a few times a year, but nothing major. Everything else is stock currently, although I'm removing the aero splash guard inbetween the fender and bumper. Because I wasn't going to add a lift kit (for now), I think I'd be comfortable moving down to 33's if it means no wheel biting/rubbing. So my question is: Will there be any wheel biting/rubbing with Rubi take off's (or the Black Rhino's listed above) and 33" BFG KO2's on a stock Sport S? Also if anyone HAS this setup, please post pics! :D

I ran 33 Rubi take offs for a few months before I lifted it, no issues. I think you will rub with 35s but daily driving should be fine.

If you go -12 offset with no lift, the tires will rub the fender lip off road during articulation. Consider a +12 wheel at the most. The stock wheels are +44.45 on 7.5”. So -12 on 9” will push you wheel out quite a bit.

315's/35's will rub the lower control arms at full turn. mostly because of the short axle width. zero issue's with my 315's and rubi axles

I have a Sport S with 17x9 -12 offset wheels with 285/70/17 Toyo ATIII. The tires rub the front bumper close out panel when reverse full turn. Many just remove those close out panels, I just trimmed mine a bit and no more rub. Ive had this set up for 6 months or so and pretty happy with it. I have not had it off road and it may rub with more articulation.

I went one size larger (285/75r17) for the KM3s but since it is BFG the sizing should be similar

Nice! And it looks like you trimmed the bumper caps similar to how I trimmed mine.
