315/70r17 vs. 35s

Is it really worth the extra weight, price, etc to go from the 315s to the 35s?

Depends what tires you're wanting. My new Mickey Thompson 315/70/17s are actually a bit taller, wider, and a pound lighter than their "official" 35x12.5x17

TBH there's not really a noticeable difference between the two in most cases, Also you're more likely to find a C or D load rated tire in the 315/70 if that's what you're wanting.
