Why cause all the problems of lifting 3.5 inches to run 35’s? When you can do it stock.
what do you mean problems lifting 3.5”? I have 35’s (actually 34.4”) on stock rubicon suspension and they rub when off roading. I just ordered the metal cloak 2.5 but was wondering if I should change it to 3.5” before it ships.

IMO - 35s will not look proportional on Rubicon with 3.5”. To be honest not sure 35s fit 2.5” lifts on Rubis. Mainly because high line fenders. Sports/Sahara’s look good with 2.5 and okay with 3.5 but because fenders are 1.5-2” lower. Everything I read is once you step over the 2.5 line and go taller you start looking at additional geometry mods. I’m just stating what I’ve read on here.

Fully agree with this post. Mine is the Jeep pictured above and I can only pull off 35s on a 3.5” lift because it’s the sport with lower fenders. I have seen a rubicon with the same lift and 35s and it looks off. Additionally, if you jump to a 3.5” lift, you definitely all the geometry components to stay safe and sound on the trail

Here's 38's on the same lift with chopped fenders. Kinda begging for a bump to a 3.5" spring/shock combo

JLUS 3.5” Metalcloak lift on 35” MudClaw tires. Would love to upgrade to 37s which would look better but my Sport Axles can’t take that much weight

How much lift did you get out of the lift before the tires?

Thanks... it is a 2.5 inch Mopar that netted over 3 inches. Wheels are 20x12 fuel sledge with -44 offset. Tires are 35x12.50x20 nitro ridge grapplers. I’ll be getting 37s soon, since I got so much height with lift.
Hello! I'm new to this forum and browsing pictures and comments and ran across your post. If I may, I would like to ask, how is the ride quality with this setup??? Stiff/harsh or smooth still similar factory etc.??

I'm looking at this exact setup for my JLU but 3.5 Terraflex lift with fox shocks with 35x12.50R20 Nitto Ridge Grappler 20x10 wheels but curious how the ride is. My installer states it may be a harsh ride because of the tires being a F load. I would love to get your feedback/opinion on this.... thanks!

Hi Tee, welcome to the forum.

Your rig should ride pretty good with fox shox. Those tires do ride a little stiff, I had to run low air pressure that helped. I’m on the RK lift now and running 37s on 17x9 rims.

The ride would be better with a “C” rated tire, but I don’t know if they make it in a 20”.

I'm a firm believer in 2.5" and 35's. Yes even on a JLUR, here is why. Up travel, yes a LCG build can get by without the clearance but I like to have both up and down travel clearance. Old fashioned, yeah, but that's me.

Thanks for the info! The brand tires I was looking into does not offer D or C load all E and F. Although I did find a D in 18 but don't really care for the look I personally like the 20! I found a Nitto Ridge Grappler in D load in 35x11.5R20 which you may not be able to tell the difference in just a inch... I'm stuck now trying to decide between Nitto at 35x11.5 or Toyo such a hard decision to make ‍♀lol! Here is pic of my jeep now, all factory.

This is a Rock Krawler 2.5" with 37" Nitto Ridge Grapplers. My recommendation would be 2.5 for 35s and 3.5 for 37s or more if you're planning on wheeling. DD on 37s with a 2.5 is fine, but I'd want more for wheeling and I have 3.5 coils on the way.

I love the look of this kit. I was thinking of getting the synergy 2.5 but I want the Jeep level and not have the front lower. In this photo this is the 2.5 from rock crawler? Any other suspension mods?
