3.5” lift with 35” tires

This is a Rock Krawler 2.5" with 37" Nitto Ridge Grapplers. My recommendation would be 2.5 for 35s and 3.5 for 37s or more if you're planning on wheeling. DD on 37s with a 2.5 is fine, but I'd want more for wheeling and I have 3.5 coils on the way.

I love the look of this kit. I was thinking of getting the synergy 2.5 but I want the Jeep level and not have the front lower. In this photo this is the 2.5 from rock crawler? Any other suspension mods?

I started with a MC 2.5” GC on 35’s, but recently upgraded to their 3.5” springs. I will be keeping the 35’s because i just purchased them less than year ago and I don’t mind the look at all. Bonus is I can still roll it into my 7’ garage.

IMO - 35s will not look proportional on Rubicon with 3.5”. To be honest not sure 35s fit 2.5” lifts on Rubis. Mainly because high line fenders. Sports/Sahara’s look good with 2.5 and okay with 3.5 but because fenders are 1.5-2” lower. Everything I read is once you step over the 2.5 line and go taller you start looking at additional geometry mods. I’m just stating what I’ve read on here.

I have been reading all through these threads and keep hearing the same thing about how it looks and why waste going higher? Looks are in the eyes of the beholder, it’s objective. Shouldn’t performance trump everything? If your building a pavement princess then you might as well go with the 22s with rubber band 37s, which looks silly to the rest of us. If you off road in rough terrain then build what is going to work for what you need it to do. 37s on a 2.5 will fit especially on a rubicon, 3.5 will be even better. In my opinion 35s are all you need, 37s only give 1” more axle clearance compared to the same brand at 35. Ya 35s on a rubicon look slightly out of place on a lift 3.5 or bigger but in my opinion 37s that are bigger than your wheel wells no matter what you do look silly. I’m sticking with 35s that will be kind to my power train (jl rubicon ecodiesel) and I’m going with a 4.5” terraflex with a full alpine control arm upgrade. For what I will be doing with it, I need the clearance. I watch so many jeeps scraping their bottoms off here in BC, Canada. So much money has to be spent on damage or armor, and then repairing or replacing armor.
Big lift 3.5”- 4.5” on 35x12.50x17 not 18s if you can avoid it. This would never have been questioned 10 years ago. It is all the mall crawlers mods and a new generation that has changed what is considered as “looks good”.

Why did you decide to replace the 2.5" springs with 3.5"? I'm debating between the two on my new JLUR and leaning towards 2.5" springs with 37's

Looks great. I have the Clayton 2.5 and 35s, but it’s more like 3+ lift. I have a relatively light rig, however. With the Rubi 4.10 gears and BFG 35s I still see 8th gear all the time.

That looks fine.... if you’re gonna be wheeling it you’ll have plenty of room to flex without rubbing. I choose to run a little higher fenders, with my set up I don’t have any choice. If I tried to go down to where it’s deemed proportional, I’d rip something off for sure. I could limit the rubbing with bump stop but then I’d be losing up travel which I’m a little low on anyway, running long travel shocks. So I choose function over aesthetics.
