I’m in sales. I wish I could sell things without complete info and a bad pedigree to overcome. Man life would be easier.

Can’t wait to test drive the 3.0 - likely my next vehicle.

:sun::sun: Just ordered a Black Sahara 3.0 Diesel with the Sky One Touch :sun::sun: So excited!!!
Was the diesel upgrade the same cost as shown above on the rubicon? I would think they would charge more in the Sport and Sahara since it also adds an axle upgrade, where as the rubicon already has the upgraded axles.

My buddy has this engine in the Ram and it's been an unmitigated disaster. One problem after another.
To my knowledge the New Ram Diesel isnt out yet so he must be talking about a Gen2 or older.. With that being said this is the 3rd Gen EcoD and a completely new design if i am not mistaken. I would hope this 3rd Gen will be a Rock Star.

Yeah, I'm amazed at the enthusiasm for an Italian diesel configured to meet California emissions requirements in an FCA vehicle. The writing is on the wall with this one!

Is your buddy somehow a member of the press driving a pre-release gen3 3.0 1500 and not reporting reliability problems or are you confusing the 80% different gen2 3.0 with the heretofore unavailable gen3?

Is the Selec-Trac Full-Time 4WD system still an option with the diesel? My concern was that the with the Dana 44 axles it wouldn't be an option.

It would SOOOO be the right engine for what really is a terrific transmission. I'd order now if the pairing was available.
I know man I was super bummed when I found out. I was like really guys?!

Is there any confirmation on the axle ratio on the 3.0? Assume 3.73, but man 4.1 would be a great option from the factory!

Cool. I'm excited for the 2020 build and price to show up on the Jeep Canada website. I might be able to make a Wrangler hit $70,000 Canadian. For a 2019, I can get it to just a touch over $66k CAD (which includes the current $1,500 discount).

Jeep rep stated 3.73 across the board at the Texas State Fair. Even with a 3.73, 442ft-lbs (easily chip tuned toward 500 per Ram 1500 spec) represents a significant increase in wheel torque over a 3.6 or 2.0 running 4.10. Might be useful running a 4.10 3.0 if you’re rolling 40s, but otherwise the 3.73 should yield more than adequate wheel torque for crawling.

Dealer suggested when I ordered the 3.0 JLUR yesterday that their FCA allocation call pointed toward 3.0 gladiator orders opening before 2019 is out. We’ll see!

I'm waiting for the 2020's to appear on the Canadian Site too, so far only the 2019's are listed.

I'm confident that a fully loaded diesel Rubicon will touch 70K CAD.
