This happened to me^^^ so after safelite changed it out. I applied RacingOptics tear away laminate. Have not had any issues in two years and still have it on. Will continue once it is done I will replace with a new one. Jl windshield=Stone magnet!

Yeah made it 6 months with out a crack now I have one. Will wait until spring for new glass since it didn't run across line of sight.

Gorrila glass is a waste, the angle of the Wrangler windshield is just a rock magnet.

I used this on my windshield:

https://www.grab-gard.com/products/jeep-wrangler-windshield

My detailing guy told me that it was a better film than the ones made out of multiple layers that you peel away. He said it would actually last longer. I'm only about 12k miles into it, so I can't say for sure yet, but it's holding up really well so far.

Yeah im starting to believe the angle of windshield is issue.
Not sure Safelite would have replaced gorilla glass? Will ask
Just shocked really
Never owned a brand new vehicle with 2 cracked windshields in 7 mos ownership
However, love my Jeep, love my Diesel, and its free replacement in Florida

Yeah 100 bucks for me, my deductible. Try my best to only use it once a year if possible. Not sure if Geico keeps records on it.

Diesel rocks! No pun :)

Love my Gorilla Glass, especially when it was a $95 option. Remember tho,it can’t stop every thing. And can confirm Safelite has it, however if it wasn’t OEM, it will cost you more

My Renegade is the same way. The steep angle of the windshield makes it prone to hard hits. First crack within a month. Safellite was able to stabilize it for a while, but it eventually spread and had to be replaced. Replacement now has a crack that runs from the bottom of the windshield almost to the top. I would replace it again, but... I'm trading it in on the Wrangler. :)

I figure I've got a month or two before I start the process all over again...

My insurance guy added a rider to my policy so I can get 2 windshields a year with no deductible and no affect on future policy price. Haven’t used it yet but have only been driving Opie for a couple of months.

Really? Why's that?
Florida State Law says ALL vehicles must have their glass replaced by their insurance coverage at no charge
Broken windshields that are cracked larger than 1 dollar bill MUST be replaced
It's a benefit of living in Florida
You MUST have insurance, thats it
I'm laughing about it to be honest. I love my jeep
She will be fixed good as new
Life will move on
2nd time in 3 months...ouch 🤣🤦‍♂️
