I'd like to see a low profile pan... and the answer to the old question... will it void my warranty?

15 minutes oil change, 5 minutes changing the oil and 10 minutes cleaning up.. track bar, tie rod, steering stabilizer, and the bracket..oil bath..still better than the stupid Ford design.

I did replace it with the larger white SRT mo-041 filter, tight fit but able to hand tight it without using tools, awkward position tho.

Filter seems very good quality, heavy gauge metal housing, anti-drain back gasket, bypass valve, paper media held together tightly.

Huge amount of metal particles and gasket material, believe it or not, it’s actually a lot less than my 2018 3.6 and 2019 raptor 3.5’s oil filter around 2k miles. All from new engine break-in, normal, that’s the reason why I change it earlier.

not scientific, just for fun, Wrangler is a BIG LEGO for me…

I use a plastic bag wrapped around the filter for difficult to reach jobs. I learned this years ago while maintaining my inboard boats. My Kubota skid steer has an oil filter with worse access than the 392 and it works well in that situation also.

I would use a punch or something similar to put a small 1/4 inch hole in the bottom of the filter and use a funnel to direct that into a drain pan if needed.
I'll have to remember that for my wife's Pilot! Oil filter is right over a frame rail and it just collects oil to distribute on the floor at a later time. Lately I've been taking a gallon Ziploc bag and cinching it around the oil filter boss. It catches all the oil, it's just a pain to spin off.
