Looking to keep my JLUR as stock as possible but want to add some more aggressive tires possibly slightly larger without going to 35s for moderate off roading and camping. Sold on a set of 295/70/17 KM3. Slightly taller and wider than stock and look really good on a stock JLUR I think. Will post pics after they have been put on with AEV saverge 2 wheels soon. Anyone else running this size and would love to see pics!

Yes, I have Toyo open country MTs in this size on my U.K. spec JLUR. Suspension, wheels and (lower) fender flares are stock, I have no rubbing issues on or off road.

That looks great! That was the other tire I was debating on. Did you do any modifications or recalibrate anything for slightly larger heavier tire or just leave everything as is?

I got the Tazer to recalibrate for the size and to lower the threshold for the TPMS alerts. The Toyos are E load rated and I run them on the road. at 30/31psi without any noticeable hard ride. No change to the spare carrier or reinforcement for the tailgate.
Iā€™m happy with these.

Or anyone running 285/75/17? Thinking 290/70 is what I want

Nice! That will look good. Please post pics when itā€™s done. I wonā€™t be able to get mine done for another week or two but want to see some different set ups.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Love my 295/70/17s, only other size I'd replace them with would be 285/75/17 although tire selection is pretty limited there. Here's some pics of stock, w/ the new wheels/tires, then w/ Rubicon suspension swap.

What offset are those wheels? How far do they stick out? Thatā€™s really the only thing Iā€™m worried about

They are 17x8.5 +10, here's a few shots at the fenders (before the Rubicon swap)

295/70ā€™s fit nicely and no issues. Wouldnā€™t be too worried if I went to the 285/70ā€™s either. Doubt you would see the difference. The 75 profile are hard to get here so I didnā€™t look to hard at them. I have played around with the pressures from low 30ā€™s and back up to 35/36 cold now.

Hereā€™s 285/75-17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on 17x8.5 (5.2ā€ BS) Quadratec Hard Rock wheels. 2019 JLUR stock suspension.
no rubbing on road or off road. Would have put 35s on, but had these wheels and 34s left over from my JK.

Does anyone have any comments/pics/comparisons on 295/70 vs the 285/70 stock rubicon tires and if itā€™s a big enough difference to go up? Debating if I should just replace with 285s again or go up slightly to 295 km3

If you can find the 295s for roughly the same price then I'd go up, otherwise the difference is so minimal I'd just go with the best deal (in the tire model that you want). I went w/ my 295s since they were about $80 less than the exact same tire from all other sources., and quite a bit cheaper than the next smaller size, lol.
