thanks. I do like LOD's line of products. I'll have to keep these in mind for future improvements. firts step is to put some 285/75 17's on though. I had the Toyo Open Country A/T's in mind. Are you pleased with yours?
So far I really like my my Toyo's, especially compared to my original set.

I got a set of Ace rock rails going on in a few weeks, 285/75/17 Toyo at3’s shortly after that with some coil spacers. Anybody do the front LED turn signal switch back upgrade, clear side markers? Diode Dynamics makes a nice kit.

I did the oracle switchbacks. Great improvement over stock fender lights, super bright. Sold them when I got take off Rubicon led fenders. Would strongly recommend them over stock, but led Rubicon fenders is a better overall package.

Also did the diode clear side markers. They look great and were transferable to the new fenders, so still have them.

Thanks for posting this. I ordered the same tires yesterday before I saw this thread and I was a little concerned about possible rubbing, especially in the rear near the shocks and liners.

These tires are listed at 61 lbs., which is nearly double what my stock tires weigh at 35 lbs. So, I fully expect that my fuel economy is going to be destroyed. But at least I know that they're going to fit. Thanks.
it wont as those are just 33's aren't they ?
I never took any hits on 33 upgrades, as far as the weight of the tires go - two schools of thought and my experience is that you simply added weight to the whole Jeep - wider is an issue for sure and taller for sure but this change shouldn't be enough to trigger either of those
I could be wrong though so keep us updated on the mpg and it will help our pile of useless info on this site - :)
nice tires, you'll like those

I’m debating going 35x11.5x17 over 285/75/17. The TF 1.5” leveling kit should provide enough clearance with the ruby springs.

Another friend is debating 34s vs 35s, so I did a quick search on @discounttire and tire buyer for that 34s, traditional 35s, and that 35x11.5 size. For 35x11.5 I only saw Nitto brand listed, with one MT, a (relatively) heavy E rated AT, and a C AT. Maybe other sites have more, but are you set on that being the brand you want? Seemed like a lot more options in the the 285/75/17 space.

Yea, I’m certainly going 35x11.5x17. Toyo a/t3 and Nitto also offer that size but only certain dealers carrier it, most online. It’s only about .5” increased diameter to the 285.

Had 285/75/17 Toyo Open Country AT2s installed today. Got an awesome price so couldn't pass them up. SMALL amount of road noise just like the exact same tires I had on my 14 Silverado. 1-5/8" Synergy wheel spacers are in the mail along with the rough country spare tire relocation bracket. I plan to plasti dip these stock wheels since they pretty much have no resale value. First pic should be the before pic.

Was the spare too big to fit on the tailgate mount?

Had 285/75/r17 toyo oc at3s + black quadratec morphic wheels + rubi suspension added today. Looks great, drives great. Did all highway miles back from the shop (btw Evans 4x4 on Long Island is a great shop). Feel the extra weight a bit, but not much. Slight dip in gas mileage. No real change to road noise. Will have better pics up soon.

Nice, that's a significant improvement in looks! Glad to hear it's driving well. Might wanna consider some black lugs at some point

Btw small update, I think I change my mind on the no rubbing with OEM wheels. Not sure why I didn't notice it before (radio on too loud), but at full lock reversing into parking, I heard what sounds like a rubbing noise. Heard it more than once now that I know what to look for. Goes away the second I back off the wheel slightly

Looks great, well thought out and executed! The extra weight may be noticeable for a day or two, but you probably won’t even notice by the weekend!

Its off topic, but I just installed the Ace rails and LED switch backs, clear side markers today. What a difference! Second the recommendation on black lugs, Gorrilla’s 23-piece set is the way to go.
