Anyone doing this tire size on a stock Moab? The KMs need replacing and I want to go a bit larger, since they fit sports I'm assuming they'll fit a Moab fine but wouldn't mind some feedback for people who may have done it

You can look at Willys for comparison, since a Willys is essentially a less fancy Moab.

I’ve gotten a lot of inspiration on this thread. I love keeps and my first one was a 2002 TJ in which I pulled out the carpet and removed the backseat placing a bean bag chair for my 90 pound German Shepherd. My dream has been to build my own jeep so I thought I would share.

I have a 2020 JLU Willys. I added a 2.5 teraflex coil lift with shock extensions, 1 3/4 synergy wheel spacers and tinted the front windows. My muddy did all the word ( besides the tint).

Yeah, I think the willys comes with Rubicon shocks/springs
The willy's comes with Rubi Shocks & Sport Springs (I've got a set of Rubi springs waiting to go on). It's a simple way to make your willy's as high as a rubicon. I'm running 285/75/R17 Toya AT's and the there is no rubbing at all, BUT I have not had it off road since the tire swap. I'll probably have the springs installed (measure it) and the either leave it or add a 1/2" spacer.

If you go this route you need to be aware that there are a boatload of spring part numbers for the rubi, and they all have an effect on how much lift you will get.

Although I’m not on stock wheels, I did go to the Falken Wildpeak 285/75/r18. Previously had Falken Wildpeak 305/65r18.

My coopers are E load but they feel like c load tires. They're super comfortable. They're very quiet as well. They're also the lightest tires in this size in an aggressive tread.
you still running these tires? what psi for street?

I went with 285/75/r17 Ridge Grapplers on stock wheels. 4 door Rubi springs and shocks. It seemed a little sluggish at first with the 6 speed manual but now I’m used to it. This thread was a huge help in deciding between 33s and 34s.

So I just did this tire size as well to my JL Willys and it seems I've got a little bit extra fender well room. According to my build sheet, I have 'standard' suspension (same as Sport/Sport S), but I do have red struts (assuming the same as the Rubi). When I go in for my first oil change, I'll ask them what the replacement part numbers would be to figure out some final truth.

All that being said, I love this tire size and don't really feel like I'll do much of a lift, if any.

I have a 2021 Willys and your rig looks fantastic.

What exact tire and size is that? Did the spare fit on the stock bumber? Have you done any kind of offroading and did they rub?

After almost two years what pros or cons have you had?

I’ve posted this in another post but here is my Willys with the 285/75/17 Toyo AT3’s, Rubicon springs and fenders.

I'm thinking about jumping from 285/70/17 to 285/75/17 on a JLUW. I have the rubicon springs and shocks installed, but can you confirm what Rubicon spring numbers you are running ( I have 60/61 and 91/92)? I'm debating if I'll also need coil spring spacers if i go to 34" rubber, possibly .75".

This thread inspired me to get the 285/75r17 toyos. I honestly wouldn’t recommend putting them on a stock Jeep, you’ll have barely any clearance (aside from rubicons). This is on a Teraflex st1 kit.

any photos from the front/back to show wheel spacing! I’ve been curious about this size and how wide they end up being - granted a lot of that depends on wheel type. How noticeable was the swap driving wise, did you move up from stock tires? How did the spare fit, any modifications needed there?

pics on the link in my signature :)

driving wise, you feel more planted to the road with no power loss. I did get the rough country spare tire bracket which I might not have even needed so there is plenty of space between the bumper and spare. It also is not as heavy being a C load which puts less strain on the tailgate.
