Stock suspension, stock wheels
I think this will look better with Rubicon takeoff suspension

definitely better than having to deal with selling your stock wheels and buying more expensive heavier wheels. A lot of people have no idea how light out stock wheels are at only 20-21lbsThat's not too bad, I'm thinking about doing the same to mine. Love the way yours look!
I just purchased a set of the 17” upgrade Rubicon wheels and they weigh 24-25. I was hoping they were a couple of pounds lighter. Oh well.definitely better than having to deal with selling your stock wheels and buying more expensive heavier wheels. A lot of people have no idea how light out stock wheels are at only 20-21lbs
The rubi wheels are 0.5" wider than the 7.5" sport wheels right?I just purchased a set of the 17” upgrade Rubicon wheels and they weigh 24-25. I was hoping they were a couple of pounds lighter. Oh well.
I wish. I just measured 7.5” wide bead to bead. The rubi wheels are 0.5" wider than the 7.5" sport wheels right?
According to Tiresize.com the stock 255/70/18 tire is 43lbs. You could weigh the whole thing to see.Anybody know how much the stock Sahara rims weigh? I went from 18 Sahara to 17 upgraded gladiator rubicon wheels. Stock tires on those are bigger than JL. 285/75r17. So curious if it’s a wash or if I picked up weight.
My speedo did not change that I can see. Certainly not enough to recalibrate. The RPMs went from 2000 in 6th gear @ 75 mph to MAYBE 2100 RPMs. I'm not concerned with that all all. Also, when going from stock Sahara wheel and tire (32" tire) to the 285/75 r17 (34" tire) shouldn't my speedo need adjusted? Before the change my speedo always matched exactly to Waze and Google Maps. After the change it still matches exactly the GPS speeds. Seems like I should be a couple MPH off at higher speeds, correct? Seems odd to me.
Thats crazy, OP reported his sport was off by 4 MPH.My speedo did not change that I can see. Certainly not enough to recalibrate. The RPMs went from 2000 in 6th gear @ 75 mph to MAYBE 2100 RPMs. I'm not concerned with that all all.
Just sayin'. I made sure to check before and after the tire switch. No significant difference.Thats crazy, OP reported his sport was off by 4 MPH.
ha, Im not saying you are crazy, just the weirdness of the situation. I checked before and after as well and have seen zero difference to MPH from dash to GPS.Just sayin'. I made sure to check before and after the tire switch. No significant difference.
