Did it not fit width wise or diameter too large hitting the bumper?
Wasn't watching him but based on the dirt on the bumper, it was too deep in the bucket. I'll check it out tomorrow. Tire pressure was in the 38 psig range.

The 285/75/17s look and feel great!

Turned out awesome! Do you have any more photos? How did the spare turn out? Is this stock hieght still? Any rubbing? I keep going back and forth between 285/70 and /75, this may have me leaning toward the 75. Any noticeable power loss handling vs the stock tires, assuming you had the firestones MT2’s.

Stock height still. No rubbing. No noticeable power loss and speedo is off may 2 mph. Not enough for me to worry about personally. Switched from the stock Firestone Destination MT2 (255/75/17) to the Toyo AT3's (285/75/17) at the urging of some new friends on this Forum and couldn't be happier. I use this for DD so I'm not really pushing articulation issues. My driveway goes from flat to 15 deg instantly and not even close. No, the spare doesn't fit but I didn't air down. I mean, it does fit, but it rubs. I ordered the Red Rock Relocator and that should do just about what I want to get done.

I do admit I'm intrigued by 2 inch Mopar lift or leveling kit, but I might have to wait so my bride doesn't get too irritated. Aldo gave me this coaching; if you ever think you may lift it, the 285/75 will already look better. Couldn't agree more.

Knel6 - here are more pictures. The last one is off the lot with the Firestones. Oh, yeah, and it was clean and sunshine was brighter. Forgot to mention that I had the front windows tinted which I think makes it look better.

Quite the difference of before and after, it looks really nice! Are you running spacers on the wheels?

The spare barely clears the tire, I mean I probably can’t fit a sheet of paper between the tire and bumper. I very much like the ride and feel of the tires. I haven’t had any rubbing on road and light off road use, although I do plan on adding rubi takeoffs in the near future.
Hi, curious if you ended up with the Rubi takeoff suspension? If so, any pictures?

I just added Gladiator Rubicon wheels with 285/75R17 tires to my stock Sahara. Got on the highway and noticed a bounce. Anyone else get this? Just an unbalanced wheel/tire? Or 34" tire affecting geometry and ride and its just normal? Thoughts? Sitting in tire shop again while they look at it, again.

I have the exact same set up. Gladiator wheels and 34" tires. Had the tires mounted and balanced by Discount tire. No bounce and rode smooth, even on the hwy.
They probably didn't balance correctly.. hopefully they just need to rebalance and put the weights in the right spot. It could also possibly be the way they mounted the tire to the wheel.. sometimes there is a color indicator on the tire where the air valve should be.
Hopefully it's an easy fix.
Here is my set up, 285/75r17 BFG KO2s with Gladiator wheels.

Good looking Jeep. I went back and they had not balanced any of the four after the TPMS swap. SMH. Do you have a lift?

couple before and after.

Those sons of guns.. how do they forget to balance... lol oh well. Glad it was an easy fix. Wildpeaks are a great tire. Looks awesome. Yup, i do have a lift. I installed the Rough Country 2.5 inch spacer lift. I also added Rubicon springs & shocks for little added height. Close to 3 inch overall lift.

I think this will look better with Rubicon takeoff suspension
