Anyone know if this will fit?
I’ve got a 285/70/r17 on my base sport. Only thing I had to do was trim down the rubber stops/isolators on the tailgate to fit the wider tire. They pop right out and back in no problem.

Sorry.. this size was to say 285/75/18.. not 70. These are quite a bit taller than 285/70/17. But thanks for the info.

I think it will depend on the tire you buy
I just put Cooper 285/75R18 on my JLU Sahara
stock wheels, no lift, no spacers
they fit fine no clearance issues on the axles
but they measure a true 35.1 diameter
and I had to add a Rough Country spare tire bracket
also re-used stock bump stops from an 13 Rubicon and cut 3/8 off length
it also just about completely blocks the back window

I just mounted my 285x75 18 on the spare tire carrier and it fits fine. I do have the Fuel Trophy wheels so it pushes the tire and wheel away from the vehicle.

JeepIt -- Anyway you could snap some pics from the side and front of your setup? i am looking at trying to add a 34.5 - 35 inch tire to my Sahara on stock wheels and was thinking the 285 75 18 would be perfect, and of course seeing it would help. Not sure if I should lift a couple of inches though...
