It looks like from the pics that they went back to the floor idea. In 2018 evryone was super pumped that it was put on the side. Now I guess they're looking for more cargo space to compete w/ Bronco.

My 2016 JKU w/Alpine had the sub in the floor of the rear cargo area and it sounded GREAT.
I understand that part. Lol. My JK was the same, of course.

Allow me to rephrase, please show me where your information is coming from so I may understand what you’re talking about in regards to them switching back to being in the floor? Was this, by chance, referring to a 2 door JL?

I dunno, man. I’m not the OP. All I know is that my JKU’s Alpine was one of the best stock systems I’ve ever heard, and my JL Alpine is just solid — not excellent. That’s one thing I miss about the JKU.

I should’ve tagged him in the second part there.

Yep my JK 2dr Alpine is better than the JLU one, even with the upgraded Terra speakers I put in the JLU I'm afraid.

Idk I actually like having the sub on the side in the jlu, you get a nice beer cooler now in place of the sub in the floor, plus on my 2016 with the sub in the floor area the cargo mat by mopar had a cutout which always got sand and stuff in it that I had to vacuum out
