Not sure what this means. I’m assuming it either isn’t on a truck yet or it’s not even using this companyI think I’ve found a way to track Jeeps that have been shipped by means of truck, at least by a particular company, Cassens. All you need to do is enter your dealer’s dealer number and your VIN in the website below:
https://www.cassens.com/#/vin-tracking
Note that I found my dealer’s dealer number by means of a Google search.
It should’ve been in there with the hardtop package5 months and 3 weeks… salesman called. Picking it up in the morning! Where’s the rear wiper?
It's peeking out just to the right of your 35, right?5 months and 3 weeks… salesman called. Picking it up in the morning! Where’s the rear wiper?
Ahh I see it now. I didn’t realize they weren’t at the top of the windows anymore. Thanks Ratbert! It's peeking out just to the right of your 35, right?
I had to zoom in on it and compare it against other pictures of JLU rear windowsAhh I see it now. I didn’t realize they weren’t at the top of the windows anymore. Thanks Ratbert!
Good catch. I doubt if many of the people in that situation have realized that possible implication.Been watching for a while but first post. Wanted to share something interesting from my order's build in case it will help anyone...
A week or so ago I was told by my dealer rep that my order had been built and was "in shipping". I had been checking the build sheet and window sheet servlet URLs frequently and nothing was appearing for either. Days later and still nothing in terms of build sheet/window sticker.
Luckily the new tracking tool helped me out the beginning of this week. By checking on there, I was able to verify that while yes my order had been built, the VIN had changed since I had originally gotten it from the dealer rep.
Upon further investigation and looking at the build sheet with the new VIN, the sequence number was the same but it looks like the difference in VIN was due to being switched from the 3.6L with e-torque I had ordered to the regular 3.6L with ESS. I am not sure if the dealer was notified/asked or not but it never made it down to me.
With the 2-door (Willys) I ordered, switching away from the e-torque (presumably because of the heavy battery?) caused the GVWR to drop from the 5000-6000 lb range to under 5000 so the 4th character in the VIN changed from H to G (and consequently the 9th character check digit).
Kinda unique situation but just wanted to share in case anyone's build sheet isn't showing up when they expect it to be! They definitely appear to be switching out the e-torques for the normal pentastar with ESS.
