2026 Steering Box Changed?

Been digging in the garage trying to find it lol. Moved and can't seem to find anything. Im thinking I might swap to the highest setting for 3.5-4 and see how it goes. Reading other threads people are saying it got them closer to 5.8-6 degrees on the 2.5". Worth a shot and easy enough to do.

Sounds right. I think the AEV install guidance is meant to retain 4 to 5 degree factory spec, so using a higher setting is the way to go. I have the high-capacity springs and haven't added too much weight, so I probably have a little less caster than those with the regular springs.

Anyway, I'm super happy with the steering on my '23 with 35s at just over 5 degrees caster. I briefly thought about using the MOPAR lift control arms to get another degree, but I recently did an 800-mile 70+ MPH round-trip that convinced me I don't need them.

you might want to take this measurement and compare. I have run them both ways ie the 2.5-3" and 3.5-4* and ultimately liked the 2.5-3" best and it put my caster where I like it. I don't have FAD so that would different as higher caster won't have an effect on front driveshaft.
I am at 13.75" on the below measurement.

Ha! I believe one of your posts inspired me to flip the chip to the highest setting (well that and finally getting an angle gauge and discovering my caster was low 4 degrees). I do have a FAD.

But based on my angle gauge, at the highest flip-chip setting my caster is pretty close to yours on the alignment sheet. That's probably due to having more lift (some might say too much) from the HC springs - I'll have to take a tube to spring cup measurement.

I’m new to Wranglers, but my 26’ is great to drive. It’s still a solid front-axle, but between the rev-happy 3.6L and the smooth manual, I’m loving every minute of it. Steering feels direct.
