This is only going to show up once the vehicle is actually on the assembly line and usually its already built when it shows up.Well, it appears the link works, but the site is down for āmaintenanceā. If it becomes active Iāll try it. In the meantime my Jeep tracker indicates I am now scheduled for production. Progress!
That makes sense. But since the site appears to be out of service, for several days at least, the point is moot. But thanks for the information anyway. This is only going to show up once the vehicle is actually on the assembly line and usually its already built when it shows up.
The window sticker link likewise won't show up until its in the process of being shipped; e.g. getting scheduled for a train or is at a hold lot for some reason.
No im saying it will appear that way until yours is generated. Because the page with your VIN doesnāt exist yet. So just keep periodically checking it like once a day once yours is showing as in-production.That makes sense. But since the site appears to be out of service, for several days at least, the point is moot. But thanks for the information anyway.
Yeah that is what you'll get when your VIN specific page doesn't exist.![]()
If this attachment works for me:
This is what Iām getting at the link posted in this forum. Thereās no association with a VIN or order.
ok. I get that. But how did it know that my order isnāt in production yet? I havenāt given the site ANY data whatsoever about me, my order, my VIN or anything else. This is the first thing that pops up on opening the link.Yeah that is what you'll get when your VIN specific page doesn't exist.
You'll get the same thing at the Jeep branded URL too
https://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=
Once your build sheet is generated that link will become active and the URL will load instead of giving you that generic "404" page.
https://www.jeep.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=
This page will show you an error page saying a window sticker isn't available yet; until yours is generated.
you put your VIN number after the "vin=" in the URL as inok. I get that. But how did it know that my order isnāt in production yet? I havenāt given the site ANY data whatsoever about me, my order, my VIN or anything else. This is the first thing that pops up on opening the link.
Perhaps the technology is just over my head. But regardless, Iāll try again when my order status goes to production. Thanks for your help.
The lights just came on. I see what youāre saying about the where the vin is entered. I apologize for my nearsightedness and appreciate you explaining it till it got through to me.you put your VIN number after the "vin=" in the URL as in
https://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=1C4PJXDG2RW290716
and
https://www.jeep.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=1C4PJXDG2RW290716
The page for your VIN will be generated when it gets to that point in production; otherwise that page doesn't exist yet and thus it loads the generic page.
i like the rollercoaster you took me on, it was fun lolThe lights just came on. I see what youāre saying about the where the vin is entered. I apologize for my nearsightedness and appreciate you explaining it till it got through to me.
Boy, do I feel dumb![]()
Admittedly I was in the same boat as you - expecting to insert a VIN after. The lights just came on. I see what youāre saying about the where the vin is entered. I apologize for my nearsightedness and appreciate you explaining it till it got through to me.
