It reminds me a lot of the intentional "feature drip" we'd get from a lot electronics companies, especially during the transition to smartphones and smart TVs. Deliberately holding back on features and tech advancement, so they could introduce them later on as a new selling point in their press release.

Not that the Wrangler necessarily needs a ton of modern tech, but there's no reason their $60k+ models are just now getting wireless Android and CarPlay, powered seats without memory recall and hell, if they're gonna do front and rear camera, we'll eventually get the 360 tech that other brands have had for years (think the Wagoneer might actually have that).

I know this practice makes sense from a manufacturer's perspective, since they release new models every year, but it's just kinda lame and unnecessary imo.
Yep, gotta keep buyers hooked on the "drug" just long enough to get them into the next phone. To the point where people will go with "payment plans" to acquire the new "drug" year after year, model after model. Sounds like a familiar pattern taken to the umpteenth degree with vehicle sales.

I have no idea how the Wagoneer sells. They picked the worst time to introduce that thing and its sales (or lack thereof) shows just how out of touch Jeep is. They should've and should do what Kia did with Genesis...just break it off into its own nameplate and dealerships. I mean, when's the last time you've thought about Jeep when thinking of buying a luxury vehicle? lol

I went with white because I couldn’t order the anvil. Or gator.
Which brings to mind another question how does the front windshield fold down if you have the SOT?

I agree wholeheartedly. My old Grand Cherokee had heated/cooled seats. I just never found the need to use the cooling function. Probably because of the area I live in. I just found the complaint to be a sign of the times and odd hearing it out loud watching reviews about Wranglers ?
Look, some of us have undercarriages that run a little sweaty in the warmer months. Count your lucky stars that you're not one of us. I don't care for heated seats personally, even in the dead of winter, but few things compare to driving around in the summer with a frigid fundament.

I just hope the Gladiator gets the same treatment. I want a Rubicon X version. Either 4xe or 392 would be really nice.
I believe it is. At least the interior is, there’s spy shots online. I’m really debating swapping the 23 for one. I would also get a Rubicon X.

LOL I agree swamp ass is a real problem in the summer! Tried ventilated seats in my parents Mazda CX-9 for the first time and it took care the sweaty bum and back issue.

Pretty fun I can hardly wait for mine. A couple of things I noticed 1 is that an anvil grey with a sot?
2 on the trails off road app on my phone you can see pictures of the trail. I did not see anyone showing that!
3 I wonder why the rubicon x didn’t get the built in air compressor?
4 I wonder if the tpms nanny thing can be programmed to run lower pressures so you don’t get those annoying lights or if you have to get a tazer to do that?
"sot"?

Wait up…Jeep got rid of the “unlimited” name for 4 door wranglers at the end of 2022?? Can anyone with a 2023 or 2024 4 door confirm there’s no “unlimited” sticker on the side of your wrangler?

The windshield folds down while the roll cage stays up.

It’s the same on all JLs.

Alright, I hate to be that guy and do a 180 on what I was fairly adamant about as recent as yesterday, but the new grille looks pretty good in Earl Gray.

If I get another JL I will still likely swap the grille out and hang it on my wall or something, but I don't throw up in my mouth when I see it anymore. ?
I'm not sure if the grill is ever going back on my Wrangler, but if I do get my hands on a new 2024 Rubicon grill, I'll probably keep that on all the time. Or at least when I want to look classy and not so trashy. ;)

All you’ve done is complain you can’t afford a new rubi and complain you don’t like the grill.
Try try again maggot.
As much as I like the new 2024 grills, let's be honest here If you're not buying a high-end Jeep Wrangler in the 2024 model year, they took away all the good options for the lower end trims. Me myself I like my Jeeps as technology free as I can get them, with as much basic bitch stuff as I can get on there. For me personally I wouldn't purchase a 2024 or any future model year until they start offering better options for the lower end Jeeps.

Don't get me wrong, I could afford a $90,000 Wrangler with no issues, I just don't see the point in it. At least for me half the fun of having a Wrangler is upgrading (or downgrading) all the stuff yourself. I mean if I could buy it from the factory with the whole kit and caboodle on there, I wouldn't have as much to upgrade and I would feel terrible about doing the things I do to my Wrangler currently. Feels a lot better destroying a Wrangler that only cost 50,000, it would break my heart to do what I do to a $90,000 Wrangler.

On the flip side if FCA decided to do a limited run and release a two-door Rubicon with the upgraded Dana 44s, front and rear lockers, analog radio and dash, manual doors and windows, with no top available, no grill, no hood, and optional rear seats, I would camp out in front of the dealership waiting to put in my order!!! ? ? ? ?

If they go all electric, they won’t need huge shafts. Just have electric motors on all four corners. ??? not what I’m buying currently but I see it coming.
That's what the current all-electric g wagon has. I wouldn't necessarily want to buy a current g wagon, but it can go up a hill backwards with lockers engaged, pretty nuts!

I don’t disagree with you. I know you can get well over 70k on a new rubi with options and that seems to be a lot of on road creature comforts. I identified the options I’d like to have from my previous upgrades on jeeps. To be able to get the upgraded axles (Hd tubes/brakes/4.56 gears)from and warrantied, is hard to beat. The fact that it comes with bead lock capable wheels and 35s is a bonus at that point. The lift could be higher but it’ll work for now, I suspect that with a bumper and a winch I’ll end up needing heavier springs in the front so like you said, upgrade upgrade upgrade.
Mine gets used a lot as a road trip vehicle along with hitting the trails, so I walk a line between capability and comfort.

Although I agree cooling seats would be nice for a road vehicle I can see why they may be a maintenance headache in a Jeep that is used for offroad. The accumulation of dust and butt sweat when driving on dusty trails with doors/windows off would likely plug the tiny vent holes and then everyone would be complaining how the vented seats are crap.
