Offset is -44.
Yes, they did some trimming, the 3.5"s springs wouldn't work with the stock fenders. If I go over a big whoop, the back rubs on the DV8 liners, I still need to trim that. I am going to end up going with flat fenders and probably back down to the 3.5 springs.
More bumpstop???

Drooooooooooooooooool....

That is so badass, I love everything about this build. Fantastic job.

Your thread title is misleading though. You and I both know it'll never be "done"

The rear view mirror makes so much sense with that big tire on the back!
The mirror really is nice. It's a video recorder as well, and endlessly adjustable. A must since you can't see out of the back with the 40!

Well, this is now my 8th build and I have the empty checking to prove it! I LOVE this Eco Diesel. This thing flat out MOVES with the Banks on it. I was going to regear before I had it shipped back from Idaho, but am very glad I didn't. If I keep it between 70-75 mph, I can get 21 mpg on the freeway. It gets 18 in city which is shocking. Overall, the best Jeep I have owned to date. Build was extensive.

Notes- The new to market Coverking roof liner is OUTSTANDING! Makes the Jeep feel like a real car inside (No white exposed). The FullVUE Camera Mirror is JUNK! Stopped working after 2 weeks. Works now when it wants to. Manufacturer wants me to rip out the entire unit instead of just replacing the mirror itself and send it back in original packaging which got thrown away by the shop in ID. Won't ever do business with them again.

The build-

SUSPENSION- MetalCloak Game changer 4.5 lift, Metalcloak HDSteering with Fox stabilizer, Synergy Steering box brace, Adams 1350 Front Driveshaft (Have a spare set of 3.5% MC springs)

WHEELS/TIRES- 40 Nitto Trail Grapplers with 20x12 Black Rhino Armory wheels

LIGHTING- Rigid Industries Adapt XP (3), Rigid D-XL pro led lights (2), Diode Dynamics rear 30 bar (1), Oracle Prerunner lights, Oracle rock lights, Oracle clear/tinted corners

BRAKES- Teralflex Delta Big Brake Kit with Stainless lines

FENDERS- DV8 Inner liners all around

SLIDERS- Rockslide engineering GEN 3 slider steps

TIRE CARRIER- Teraflex Alpha Tire Carrier

WINCH- APEX 12K Synthetic line, Factor 55 FlatLink E

PERFORMANCE- Banks Derringer with Data Monster, Banks Pedal Commander (This jeep MOVES OUT), JL Tazer Mini, AFE Exhaust

INTERIOR AUDIO/VISUAL- Stinger Heigh10 touchscreen head unit with Navigation and XM Radio, FullVUE Camera Mirror, Matt's Audio 1400-Watt 5 channel amp, Matt's Audio 6.5 Coax water treated Mids/Highs/Tweeters, Sirius Tuner, Wireless Android Auto (System is LOUD and CLEAN)

INTERIOR MISC- CoverKing roof liner kit (New to market),Vector Offroad E Doc (Not yet installed), Wpn Gear pistol mount, Halguard Fire extinguisher,Quadratec floor/cargo liners, VOSwitch Grab Handle switch panel, Bezel surrounds, Amazon Misc.

EXTERIOR MISC- AFE functional Hood Scoops, JCR Bull Bar

Looks nice. Your’s is 2024 model? I have a 2023 diesel, the same color as your. You said you get 21mpg with those 40s tire and the lift? I’m on metal cloak 3.5 inch lift with fox 3.0. Running on 37x12 x17 km3s . I use to get 22 mpg on 33 ko2 but not with this 37s. I only get 14.5 local and 17 is on the freeway. I have a heavy foot by the way. And of course no regrets! Love my Jeep.

Beautiful Jeep!!. Nice to see when one does quality upgrades to their Wrangler. I wish I'd done more to mine early on, but at 60K miles think I'll wait and do more to the next one. Thanks for posting.

I'll only get 21 mph if I keep it at 70 mph. Once I go up to 75 mph, it drops to just under 18 mph. I also live in one of the flattest places on earth, FL, so that definitely helps.

Hi, Your Jeep looks great, congratulations. I am currently starting a new JLU project. I'm planning to order and customise the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2.0 4xe Plug-in Hybrid. I live in Cyprus, so I have quite a bit of customisation leeway. Tyres are of course an important choice, I would also prefer the 40's Nitto Trail Grapplers. Can you please tell me if I need to reinforce the axles in any way or will it work with the stock axles? Also, can you tell me the overall height of your Jeep? My garage entrance is 220 cm.

I haven't touched the axles, but being in Florida and this being a true mall crawler, I don't need to. I have built 8 of these either on 38's or 40's, and have wheeled all over Southern CA with absolutely zero issues. And that was with the previous Dana 44 on JK'S. I always did Truss and Gusset, never bent or broke an axle. The height of the Jeep is right below 82".

I really want to move up to 40's at some point but I just get so nervous about the stock axles. I'll be doing some pretty hard wheeling, but don't have the budget for crazy $$$ axles upgrades. I'd love a set of Ultimate D60's but gotdang, they cost as much as a downpayment for a house. I'm sure stock axles + 40's are fine for daily driving and light offroading, but I'll be on a lot of Northern CA granite type stuff and I'm just not sure it would work. But I'm also not sure what kinds of budget-friendly upgrades I can do to make it run 40's relatively safely.

For now I'm just playing it safe with 37 x 12.50's:
