Something to add to this thread and for other prospective Koon's shoppers. Some other dealers I noticed are not doing price locks for the orders, but as for ordering from Koon's we are priced locked. Plus and minus I suppose to having put no money down vs. money to lock the order. My exact build has gone up $3k from when I ordered per the POC from order date, compared to the most recent POC. In theory, the discount in essence is even greater with Koon's! (Comparing to those who ordered from dealers without price lock.)

Like you my build had gone up slightly more than 3k. Thanks to price protection it was no worries dealing with Koons ... flew in, ubered to the dealership in-and-out in about an hour (I was super early to my appt but they were able to squeeze me in) and I was on the road.

One thing to note : I don't know if they've added this to the PDI but none of my fuses were loose upon my pre-1300-mile trip inspection.

Going on 19 weeks since I ordered. No movement in the right direction (I was scheduled at one point, but jeep ripped that away from me and have yet to reschedule me so I view it all as no movement since I placed my order)

16 weeks since MY23 went into production.

I reached out to Koons last week and they said they will reach out to their rep. I can only trust that they will.

They suggested I reach out to jeep as well and I did and I received the lovely automated email from "Jeff" the 'specialist' telling me they have no information and to keep checking the tracker. Thanks jeep.

So far I'm happy with the ordering process and the response time from Koons.

I'll report back if I ever get my jeep on the buying process.

2-Door order life seems hard. It is really a purist Jeep, so you would think they would have a bump on the build times. Yet those seem to have the weirdest timelines. It'll come when the universe wants it to be part of your garage. I hear the Granger dealer is worse on 392's and 2-Doors, so hopefully it will be soon you get the bump to E. I tell you; it starts moving quick once it goes "E" btw.

Update for my order:

There is no update.

I reached out to Koons over a week ago. They said they would reach out to their rep to see what the hold up is and then crickets. Nothing. Nada.

As a note, they have no control over any of this. It is completely in the hands of Jeep and their systems of building. Koon's probably wants to please you by saying what they said, and at the same time nothing they can really do.

Off this topic, I can also say, taking delivery is a bit more complicated once you get past the "build" blues. It has been a little bit of a bear getting paperwork to arrange my "outside" financing. You can tell, they really prefer a check/cash in hand or do the financing with them. I have had zero luck getting one document that my bank needs to issue the check. One document! Just with the out the door price and a VIN. Really had a great experience up to this moment, but I roll with the punches. They are able to give the discount for a reason right? You sacrifice quick responses, for the sake of a steal of a deal.

I'd still order with them even after this mess, but just know you're not out of the woods even once the Jeep is sitting on their lot unless you plan to go 100% in house or cash in hand.

I understand that but to placate me by saying they're going to reach out to their rep and then not update me. Even if they came back and said the rep is useless and has no further information - that would be better than nothing. In the industry I'm in, the reps are all useless...so I wouldn't be surprised if it is the same situation in the car industry.
