Why are there 17.5 and 17.2 gal gas tanks? I thought there was just a 17.2 for 2 door models. Are they gonna give an option of a high cap tank with .3gal extra space?

Doesn't the 4xe get a smaller fuel tank because of the battery? I'm guessing that's the 17.5 gallon.

Honestly I don't know. I didn't think so since the battery pack is under the back seats. I didn't think it interfered with the bottom tub of the body at all. I thought that was part of Jeep's boasting about the 4xe.

Allow me to correct myself: According to the specs listed on the Jeep website, the 4xe gets the 17.2 gallon fuel tank:

While the 2-door gets the 17.5 gallon tank:

2021 JL Rubicon, 2022 Gobi on order!
Uconnect 4 living on in 2023 model is a real bummer. Most of the other lines have moved to uconnect 5.

I have a 2022 in Gobi on order, and I see nothing making me want a 2023 over the 21 or 22. Low effort update this year from Jeep. I'm honestly pretty surprised given the new competition on the market, I really thought we'd see Jeep start making some moves to eat the Bronco's lunch.

I'd guess that they figure that they kinda are, since people are having to wait years for their Bronco orders. Lotsa folks here waiting many, many months for their Wranglers, but at least Jeep is making deliveries. You're right though, in that once Ford gets their production up and running full speed, Jeep is going to have to step it up some.

My 2022 JLUR XR apparently has a 21.5g tank. That's what it says above and what my build sheet says. If so, the "low gas" warning dash message is pretty conservative.

I was running with ~15 miles showing as left to empty ( on way to Costco for cheaper gas) when it turned from 15mi to "low". That is how I remained for my 8 mile interstate drive. So I'm thinking I'm pretty low on gas. Filled her up ($92 bucks!!) and it only took 19.5 gallons! And it took several clicks to get even the 19.5 in my rig. Others ever experience similar that low means still about 2 gallons or more left?

Very common to have a low fuel warning with 2-3 gallons in the tank. The fuel pumps are cooled by the fuel and its hard on them to run them dry, or at least out of their fuel bath.

My 2022 that was just built has the "Advanced Brake Assist" with the Advanced Safety Group, I don't believe that is new as it also shows on the Jeep website
Just went over my buildsheet again and my 2022 also has the Advanced Brake Assist listed.

I did the exact same thing this morning. I assume that it's on all build sheets that have advanced safety, but I haven't done that analysis yet.

Yeah, they're just test builds. They should be indicative of what to expect in the 2023 models though. Posting these details so we can see if there's new stuff coming in 2023.
With gas prices, I was hoping for 3.6 hybrid instead of the 392.

And…. does anyone know if they’ll make a driving-rechargeable hybrid vs the current 4xe hybrid system? (I prob didn’t ask that in the most comprehensible way)
