Jeeps been burning one option after another the last couple months, they may actually be getting ready to do an early 2023 MY as the rumors showed or they may finally be running out of... everything like the rest of the planet already has.@jeepDiRT any idea if there will be an updated one for May? I’m trying to figure out why the 24L package is so much more than 25L. I’d expect it to be less. I’m hoping it will show up in the May guide.
For some background, I ordered a Sahara Altitude with the 25L package on 2/28. I got a call from Jeep Wave this past Thursday saying they can’t process builds with the eTorque engine. Instead they would replace it with the standard V6.
After checking with my dealer, the new order now shows the 24L package. I wasn’t able to find this until I went all the way back to the October order guide. Any ideas on why this option is more would be appreciated. 25L is $3,595 and 24L is $5,195. What am I getting for the $1600 difference?
No call ahead of time?Mine was also switched from Etorque to standard V6, but was told my price would be reduced by $1250.
That’s what I was told as well. My window sticker just posted today. The extra cost of the eTorque wasn’t there, so it did get reduced for that, but they changed the package from 25L to 24L which costs more. In fact more than the decrease from the engine swap. So in the end the price went up overall.Mine was also switched from Etorque to standard V6, but was told my price would be reduced by $1250.
When did you order? If before price increase, you will be locked in.That’s what I was told as well. My window sticker just posted today. It was after the price increase. The problem is that the 25L package is paired up with the eTorque engine. So when they downgraded the engine they changed it to 24L which doesn’t even show up in any of the order sheets since October. They told me the window sticker would go down by $1,250, but instead it went up by $350. I’d rather not get the locked in price, they downgraded my engine I’d prefer to pay less. When did you order? The MSRP for the 24L package is $5,195. I too ordered the 25L package and according to my POC it's the same price. Did you compare your window sticker line by line with your POC to see where the difference is coming from?It was after the price increase. Yes, I compared them. The difference in price is due to the switch from 25L to 24L. The window sticker shows the 24L package at $5,195. Then the line item for the eTorque engine is missing, thus the $1,250 reduction. The overall window sticker MSRP IS $350 more. Everything else is the same. Also, the highlighted features in the window sticker beneath the 24L package are all things that were part of the 25L package. The MSRP for the 24L package is $5,195. I don't have my window sticker yet, got my build sheet Monday and upon further review I'm also getting the 24L package according to the build sheet.
The 25L is also $5,195, so I agree that your total MSRP should have gone down by $1,250....I thought you said it went up $350?Yes, I compared them. 25L is only $3,595. So it went up by $1,600. Then down by $1,250 for the engine swap, so the difference is an overall increase of $350.The 25L is also $5,195, so I agree that your total MSRP should have gone down by $1,250....I thought you said it went up $350?
This is definitely confusing me, would be nice if I had a window sticker too ha. Attached is a side by side of a window sticker for one I was going to buy in transit to a dealer that had 24L, and my POC for the 25L.... Both $5,195. I ordered in April... Must have been after the price increase and you were before?25L is only $3,595. So it went up by $1,600. Then down by $1,250 for the engine swap, so the difference is an overall increase of $350.
