2022 392 CA Additional Smog Equipment Requirement Rumor...

Confirming an out of state deal for a 2022 392 with the sales guy today who advised there is some new smog equipment that will need to be added to 392's that are sold for CA.
He didn't have any details about it, but advised he'd get back to Monday with specifics.
Anyone else heard this?

I hope so.
I asked the sales guy...are the 22 392's not 50 state complaint anymore..he said no, he thinks something needs to be added for CA but needs to double check Monday.
I am not sure what to think.

Well, two dealers confirmed that there will in fact be additional CA smog equipment installed on CA 392 starting MY22. What it is exactly I have no idea and neither do they. Wanting to hear back from their reps.

I was told the requirement didn't exist for MY21 392 for CA, but it does for MY22.
I've read nothing official, only going by what 2 dealers told me, Grainger being one of them.

That only applies to >14k GVWR diesels.

Also includes increasing their emissions warranty period to 110k/150k/350k for light/medium/heavy duty diesels...

No idea, but Ford is only reducing the Mustangs output by 10 HP. 450 HP instead of 460.
