2021 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara back up camera not working.

Bought brand new 2021 Wrangler loaded Sahara. Had it 2 days and back up camera screen went black. Very dangerous and not the quality you would expect after paying $50,000 +. Im not liking the posts I'm reading. Jeep needs to fix this now!

Ok, so I went out today and camera is working! Go figure. I will keep watching it and post if it happens again.

It will likely happen again. This has been a pretty common problem on the JLs. Sometimes it’s the guidelines missing, sometimes it’s the whole picture. Had the issue on my 18 and my 21 JL. It always resets itself though after being off for a bit, or disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes.

Most dealers will just try and replace the entire head unit, if they even agree to fix it at all. Usually it’s hard to reproduce when you take it in, so some dealers can be harder to work with than others on this. sometimes swapping out the camera fixes it. A simple thing you can check is make sure the connector at the camera is fully seated, as well as all your fuses.

Pop the hood and make sure all fuses and relays are seated 100%.
