2021 Rubicon XR mods and stuff

Just finished going through the whole build so far…VERY IMPRESSED!!! Great job!

Question I have is what are the brand of the light “pods”? Can you get a pic of how just how bright the pods are?

Hope this helps….the pillar lights are Auxbeam. I got them from Amazon for $89. I have only had them since March, but so far, no lens fogging or condensation build up.

If this helps, 1.5" bump stops clear 40s with a 3" lift (1.5" spacer + factory XR spring) I also do not like the fender chop.

I have a Motobilt front diff cover sitting on my workbench I need to paint and install too. I’ve been lazy.

3/4” hole drilled through firewall for the ARB harness. A 3/4” hole saw worked well because it didn’t get gummed up with insulation like a regular bit.

I'm trying to do this currently right now I cannot seem to figure out if anything is behind firewall where If I drill through I might drill through something important. Did you drill near that same exact area in the instructions? Also did you use anything to seal up the hole around the wires?

I used the image in the instructions. You basically nick that plastic standout piece.

If you use a hole saw for the plastic it will also yank out all the insulation that would gum up a regular drill bit.

I used a hole saw to get through the plastic, then a regular bit to get through the actual firewall.

Also I noticed you used a grommet. Did you put a sealant around it as well?

I used a sealer as well. RTV from the engine side. Might try to get some more in there from the inside. But at the moment, no light comes through so I should be good.

I did not. But I have since primed and painted them black.
