Hello all,
I just finished installing subs and amp in my rubicon. I built these enclosures from scratch using 3/4 mdf as I didn't want to loose any trunk space and use this space left empty. These are sealed enclosure with .30 cu ft volume each. This is perfect for my Rockford P2D2 8 inch subs which require only 4 inch mounting depth and .25 cu ft space. I'm currently using a Planet audio 1600.4 amp mounted on the back seat but will replace it with Skar rp 1500.1 D and will also be installing a LC2i Pro converter to fix the bass roll off issue after a certain volume level. I ran the power wire through passenger side firewall as I have a manual transmission and don't have the hole on driver side which everyone with automatic transmission are using. I grounded on a factory ground source under rear passenger side seat. Currently I'm using the cig lig 12v as remote in but will use the one from LC2i to avoid any distortion in future.
