Has anyone determined whether the remote proximity keyless entry is still a mandatory option on the 2021 Rubicons? [many people have told me that I'll love the option, but I want to know if I HAVE to take it]

Not sure. It was an option when I ordered. I kept going back and forth on it. Decided to take it. I dont think it is mandatory.

According to my salesman, [email protected], no it is not. I elected to keep it as it was on my original option list on the 2020. My order for a 2021 went in today. I added the front trail camera as well.

I just spoke with Leon today - he's really on the ball. It's quite refreshing, actually. I may be putting in an order with him as soon as tomorrow, though I am curious about what the new blue color will be.

I'm also doing the proximity key as I'm used to it on my GC. Leon told me about the trail camera which I'll likely be adding as well.

I was able to order a 2021 JLUR in August without the proximity key. I almost ordered a 2020 back in March right before COVID hit and it was a requirement then.
