Got this 2021 XR last October and have driven it 18,000 miles (back and forth between Colorado & Southern California) and done a ton of off roading with it (Johnson Valley, Joshua Tree, Big Bear, Southern Utah, Moab and all over Colorado). I recently bought an extra set of wheels (fifteen52 Traverse) with 37” KM3’s (keeping the XR wheels to swap out) and added the Rockhard4x4 aluminum mid-width front bumper & Warn winch and aluminum under body skid plates (Asfir engine and trans skid, MORE t-case skid) and Purple Cranium front & rear diff guards. Other than that, it’s completely stock!
I routinely take it on moderate to difficult trails and this thing amazes me what it is capable of. I may lift it some day to give it more flex but considering the trails I’ve taken it on I am more than impressed with it as it is.
Here are some pics from my outing yesterday! We started in Montezuma, Colorado and ran Webster Pass to Red Cone to Radical Hill to Deer Creek back to the trailhead. I led a group of three and have never done these trails before and smiled the entire time. So much fun!
