Found the connector diagrams for the connectors under the seats and the heating elements, so no more guessing what wire goes to what or pulling all the wires loose to try to sort it out.

Maybe now I can see what I can do to get the aftermarket heating elements to work the OEM connections. They have more than just power and ground and have four wires (Supply, Sensor Return, Temp Sense, Groundto each element.

Hoping there is way to maintain the OEM controls in the aftermarket seats other than buying new OEM heating elements and having them installed in the PRP seats like I originally planned to do.

Also working with JSCAN to see what can be done to turn off the airbag lights and all the warnings I am getting after removing the OEM seats, belts and tensioners.

I am hopefully solution can be made and this will help a lot of Jeepers in the future wanting to go to aftermarket seats.

I also picked up some resistors to try as another option to trick the system if needed.

JSCAN is new to me with the Jeep, I have used something very similar in the past with Mustangs to change the options when doing a swap from a standard low end radio to the SYNC 3 with navigation. Also was able to pull the stock dash cluster and run the full digital display with the proper steering wheel controls.

You know, it's probably not the greatest idea ever, but you could always just remove the airbag light from the dash. I'm sure it'll still probably pop up messages in your face. But that's an easy fix if you don't mind the pop-up on your screen, you can get rid of the noise. That little noise box that's attached to your doors, It's the same one that beeps at you when a notification comes up on the dash. Just unplug that s***, and never look down.

I order the cables and the Bluetooth module and going to give it shot with JSCAN, might even just remove the whole air bag module and turn it all off as an option if possible.

should be pretty safe with full cage and harness at this point for all occupants.

Made some 2.2 ohm resistors for the air bags on both the driver and passenger sides.

I measured the ohm resistance of the stock air bag components and purchased resistors in the same ohm range. This tricks the system in believing the components are still connected due the resistance created by the resistors that soldered in.

I still have five more errors in the airbag module popping up and need to solve to get the light to go off. The seat position sensor (2), seat belts (2) and the occupant sensor is what I believe they are when I scanned them.

I worked at trying to get the aftermarket heating elements to work the OEM wiring and buttons, but can’t get it to work properly.

So my next option is to install aftermarket buttons. I started with the rear, as this was the only option from the start for the rear seats.

I attempted to place buttons for the front seats, but didn’t like the way it turned out due to the rubber material around the cup holder. So working on making a metal plate to mount the buttons exactly were I placed the ones in the picture but of metal.

So I didn’t like the way the front heated seat buttons looked in the center console.

So I made a plate to fit the location, just waiting on the plastic weld to dry and will install the buttons. I think it looks better and but more custom.

I have not done updates in bit,

I am sorry, I have been trying to get the boat going for upcoming boating season. I updated all the stereo, LED lighting, trailer lighting, Lowrance, rims, tires, mats, etc.. I know not Jeep related, but still pretty cool and been occupying a lot of my time modding it. I have to install all the Marina mats and underwater lighting and should be good for a bit on the boat and start turning my focus back on the Jeep.

Now the Jeep..

I order the APEX steering booster this week and plan to install it coming up. I need the extra pressure to help turn the 37” tires for now. Became really noticeable when I attempted to backup the boat into the driveway and what a pain it was to turn the wheel while stopped and the stock pressure/power wasn’t cutting it.

I also started laying out all the components of the Rebel Offroad Coilover kit for the rear of the Jeep.

I also order some tube clamps for the roll bars to placed them on the outside of the harness to keep them in place and sliding around.

I need jump on the suspension, I have full Rebel Offroad kit for the coilovers just laying on the bench in the garage. I plan now just to install the Teraflex Long arm kit and upgrade the driveshafts. I also have the Next Venture aluminum skids just sitting in the garage.
