Had quite an adventure figuring out what skids would work on the 2021's. I purchased the full skid plate system from Metalcloak a while back and the motor skid ended up fitting on my 2021 JLU Rubicon with a 2.0 L engine. Metalcloak also confirmed that the motor mounts only changed on the 3.6's.

Sharing some photos of what the 2.0 motor mounts look like and how the Metalcloak motor skid mounted to them.

Hope this helps folks get some clarity on the 2021's.

Mounts look like mine jlur 3.6l. So why can’t they make one for mine?

Metalcloak steel skid plates for 2021 eTorque weigh 180 lbs, and rock hard 4x4 aluminum set weighs 200 lbs. Really hope there are some lightweight skid plates for 2021 JLU. So far, Next Venture is the only one that fits the bill, does anyone have experience with it?

Hey @ASFIR4X4 any idea if your existing transmission/engine skid will fit with these changes?
Hey, we're wrapping-up some final touches for a new Engine & Gear Skid-Plate for the 2021 JL 3.6 (with an e-tourque system)!!

** The new product will be available at asfir.com in the coming days and will be ready for shipping in about 2-3 weeks.

Cheers!

MORE has one out now for 2021, both in steel and aluminum.

Jeep JL Oil Pan / Transmission Skid Plate (3.6L) 2021-current
I ordered this a few weeks ago and got word that they should be shipping this week. Hopefully they get here before the weekend so I can get them installed, I'll update my build thread (https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/bruces-2021-snazzberry-2-door-rubicon.67054/) once I get them installed.

Edit: It's the two door versions I have ordered: https://mountainoffroad.com/collect...ssion-skid-plate-for-2-door-3-6l-2021-current

Does anyone else look at the MORE skid and wonder "what's missing?". It's a great price compared to some of the more "full" bottoms. Is it covering the important parts well enough?

So if I'm in a 2021 3.6 manual (doesn't have E-torque) am I using a 2018-2020 skid system or an updated 2021?
