2021 JL Build Status - Post Yours

Jeep Chat is almost useless, IMO. I used this Chrysler VIN tracker to see if my Jeep had been built. I know it says RAM but it works for Jeep as well. That's how I found out it had been built.

I decided to check with Jeep Chat about a ship date and they said it has been built and is "awaiting the installation of additional equipment." I asked what that meant and the person just said they didn't know, and to feel free to contact them in the future. How lame.

I will never contact Jeep Chat again and, in my opinion, they should just end the whole thing. The people working there are useless.

I just found my VIN and build sheet online. My Jeep has been built.

I ordered a 2021 Rubicon 2dr on Wednesday, August 12th and it was available for pickup at the dealer on Wednesday, September 30th.

Ordered from Planet Jeep in Franklin MA.

Options included the following:

-Manual Transmission
-Cloth interior
-Painted Fender Flares
-Hardtop
-Towing Package
-Cold Weather Package
-8.4" Radio Package
-LED Lighting Package
-Integrated Front Off-Road Camera
-Keyless Entry

They estimated six weeks and that's about what it took. Not bad.

So far so good!

Wow, that is a sweet looking JL. I just ordered a JLUR in firecracker red and can't wait for it to be built. The 2 door in red with the painted flares and black top looks great.

dealer texted 10/3 saying it’s in d1 status
and all I got from Jeep chat on 10/2 is that they have all the parts.

This is pretty much exactly what mine should look like, with the exception of the white lettering on the tires. Mine should be on the inside.

I would call the salesman direct and ask them to confirm the status. Your order was 9 days after me and mine was at the dealership Friday (10-9)

it seems like orders are moving along better now.

also,, I wouldn’t bother with chat. As others have said, the dealerships know more than chat. And in my case, this was definitely true. Hope that helps.

Emails from Jeep? I didn't get any emails from Jeep. The only info I got was when I went out and sought it myself. I tortured JC regularly, and once the build was complete I connected with my salesman every few days to check on shipping status. I'd be curious to find out what emails you get from Jeep directly!

a salesman at another dealer that I was considering going with told me the same thing, I will update if I really do get any emails.

Woke up to a crypto stickers email showing that my build sheet was generated! It's going to be a good day! Dealer is estimating it should be here in about two weeks. Guess we will see.

10.13: Dealer reported I was built a few days early and I'm in the paint process. He thinks it'll be released for shipping by 10.16

FWIW: 2 door Sport S, V6, manual transmission, premium soft top, Mopar perforated leather seats, premium sound, all available option packages except trailer & electrical group
