I ordered the 2021 jeep tow package on my Rubicon which comes with a class 2 receiver. Does anyone have thoughts or recommendations on changing it out to a class 3?

I have a bike rack and Hitch Cargo Carrier that both require a class 3 receiver. and really don't want to buy bike rack. No current plans to haul trailers, boats or RVs.

(at least not yet (LOL))

I believe it's still a 2", which is what those accessories are requiring. The class 2s you see on cars are 1.25" which is why they won't work.

Upon order I thought so too but from my build sheet

Jeep Wrangler JL 2021 Jeep Tow Package - changing hitch to Class 3? 1633014149154
It could be a 2" Class 2 hitch then. Class 2 exceeds my 2dr JL towing capacity anyway so I never paid close attention. It is a 2" receiver.

@Talox Yes, I have it on my Rubicon, parked right outside my window. I pulled a boat on Sunday, just over 2k lbs and it is definitely the same size receiver as my Super Duty, as I used the same hitch/ball for both.

My 2021 Willys with the Jeep Tow Package came with a Class II, 2" receiver.

I use a hitch mounted cargo carrier with 550 lb capacity without any issue.

As others have said, you definitely don’t need to worry about this. I’ve used my 2” receiver bike racks, cargo tray, and towing. It’s good for all!

Unless you are putting more than 350 lbs over the tongue and towing more than 3500 lbs (JLU towing limit) you don't need a Class 3.

Understood no plans to haul anything that heavy ... in my TJ a landscape trailer with a quad would push it all over the place especially on downhill on wet pavement.

I am known to have a heavy foot

Totally just for discussion, but I believe that EU and AUS have higher tow limits by far. I wonder if they get a different hitch?
