2021 Jeep Rubicon 392 first Vin and order, build and delivery tracking list

Dealer returned call, car is there but some type of paperwork is not there yet so they can't deliver it. Does this make any fucking sense to anyone?

I've seen firsthand all the extra stickers that come with those new jeeps...
my sales guy let me have all of them from my first 392...

...the fact they say they don't have all the paperwork is a bad joke at best.

Remember though, that there will be a small ADM on each one...

I heard that since they come from an unspecified country in Asia that the VIN range is 000000000 - 999999999. The units are actually made in this unspecified country and then shipped to the Toledo plant where the stickers are then applied on the assembly line. The country of origin is unspecified so that US buyers won't be upset if they find out these are no longer truly a US product. The new Brandon Administration has enacted a law (effective 1 JAN 2022!) that an item must have at least 1% of its assembly done in the US for it to be considered Proudly Made In America!

I soon expect Jeep Chat to start advertising this...

Sounds like an excuse to keep it over the weekend so they can place it front and center on the lot to draw potential buyers. If you wonder why a dealer does something odd, follow the money.

There’s an easy solution. Go to the dealer this morning. Have a look at your new Jeep. Take some great pictures to share with us. Most importantly, grab a pic of the mileage and be patient. These things happen. When you go to pick it up, If you see the mileage has materially changed, call the manufacturer and negotiate an extended warranty for free as others have done.

My 21XR was pushed to 22 (see sig), and the message I receive is:

No records found corresponding to the VIN provided

Just few received a text from my dealer:

“Morning Eric, I was taking a looking at the orders this morning and looks like you will now be receiving a 2022 Rubicon 392! It already has a new vin assigned and is in D status so thankfully we’re not restarting.”

original order date was 8/21 845181.

new Vin is 108972
