2021 Jeep Rubicon 392 first Vin and order, build and delivery tracking list

i wonder if the VIN designates the model year? i received a VIN immediately after order went in early June, but wondering if it could still get kicked to a 22

yes, it does. The second letter before the serial number is the model year. .

So, for anyone that has had a VIN issued for this year (like the one below), “M” is the model year —- 1C4JJXSJ9MW736065

those are sold and well over msrp.

yeah…that dealership is definitely playing games with people. I looked into 722031. Long story short, they are all over the place regarding availability and pricing. Sounds like they are trying to collect deposits from as many people as they can on the same vehicles, and then sell it to whoever’s willing to pay the highest markup. The crappy thing is that it is listed directly through Jeep’s epurchase program on their website at msrp, then you get bait and switched by the dealership. Bad business.

edit: when I initially inquired about 722031, they told me it was sold but they had another just like it on the way that I could “lock in.” Then the guy sent me the window sticker for the same VIN!

All the dealers that i have called which actually have one on lot, they all want 15-30k over msrp. Of course msrp is what is listed in their sites or autotrader......just to get people to visit thier site, call or connect somehow. It is low, but i get it.

car dealer is a cash flow business. They collect multiple deposit from different people on the same vehicle and use your money for free. On my case, that dealer use my $4060 for 5 weeks…. And sold the vehicle to people who paid more. Triple win for dealer I guess.

As always, thanks! The VINs seem to finally have somewhat of a pattern/order. Are those 1,179 being tracked all trims or just 392s? If they are all trims, what percentage would you say are 392s?
