6/18/21 Walked into the Dealership

6/23/21 Dealership Finally Placed order

7/08/21 Received VON

7/08/21 Contacted Jeep Order is passes Editing and is Schedule pending availability of production capacity. NO VIN ASSIGNED

7/08/21 Case Number assigned escalating to higher department to find more information.

7/22/21 VIN 812921 Assigned and Status Update: At this present time, all of the materials that are necessary to build your vehicle are being received and the build process should begin very soon.

8/26/21 Email Status Update: I show your order remains prioritized for production and at the present time all of the materials that are necessary to build your Jeep Wrangler 392 are being received and the build process should begin very soon. Estimated production plan timing for
either the week of August 16th or the week of August 23rd.

9/17/21 Email Status Update: Good News! At this present time, your vehicle is currently progressing through the build process. Depending on your unique vehicle configuration, extra time may be necessary for extra options, packages, or factory features selected with your build. Your vehicle should be concluding this process shortly and moving forward to the inspection and quality checks of the process.

9/18/21 Contacted Jeep Status Update: Vehicle is currently in Trim : Engine and Interior and should be entering Inspection soon.

9/20/21 Contacted Jeep Status Update: Thank you so much for holding. I am showing that your vehicle has been built and is pending installation of additional equipment. This is a necessary step when additional features or optional equipment packages are added to the vehicle. Currently no Dealer ETA has been provided. Please reach out to the Selling Dealer as they may have a more accurate date of arrival or status for you.

9/21/21 Contacted Jeep Status Update: Vehicle is in the shipping stage however a Dealer ETA has not been Provided.

9/27/21 Contacted Jeep Status Update: Vehicle build is complete and awaiting shipping, Dealer ETA is between 10/08/21 and 10/18/21.

10/02/21 Text from Dealership: Your Wrangler 392 is on a train to Phoenix. As of this morning it,s in Oklahoma. Exciting!!! Getting Close!!!

10/06/21 Text from Dealership: Your Wrangler 392 has arrived in El Mirage and is currently waiting for transport to our dealership. I will let you know when it arrives at our dealership. Should be 3-5 business days.

10/08/21 Walked into the Dealership. Already had loan approved on my own but they decided to pull my credit without my permission and attempted to sell me a new loan. Walked out.

10/12/21 Picked up loan check from Credit Union and the deal couldn't have gone any smoother.
My seller wouldn't speak to me and had someone else handle me instead.
Drove home in my new 392.

Lesson to be learned:
1. Always have the loan check in hand.

2. Don't use CUDL system to process your loan. The dealership will pretend your loan didn't go through and try to sell you their loan.
3. Never let the Dealership pull your credit, if they try to use the Patriot Act as an excuse, tell them that is not true and then instruct them to show your the section that states a car dealership must pull your credit. (It isn't in there)

Bonus lessons for new buyers:
1. Get your insurance before you go to pick up your vehicle.
2. Don't take the extended warranty. 3rd party like Endurance or MPP are much better and often cheaper.
3. If they say you owe X amount for an alarm they had to install on the lot, say NO, take it off.
4. Don't fall for leather or paint protection. It is a scam.
5. Don't get the window etching. You don't need your vin etched into your window. It is pointless.

I too have:
1. The check in hand from credit Union.
2. Insurance already done.

I request:
1. All dealer badges, stickers, license plate holders not be put on the car.
2. The car already be prepped before my arrival.
3. All paperwork be ready by the time I arrive.
4. That I be in/out as quickly as possible.
5. I make sure ahead of time they know I do not want their paint protection or interior protection
6. No need to show me how anything works in the vehicle.
7. Just let me sign whatever it is we need to sign and let me get on my way.

I’ve purchased, traded in, and sold 50+ vehicles in the last 15 years. The best buying experience I had was during the Summer Covid started when you couldn’t go inside the dealership. I was purchasing a Power Wagon and I spent all of 5 minutes at the dealer. When I pulled off the lot, I was in shock and remember saying to myself, wtf just happened. The car was prepped, the paperwork pre-printed, and the sales guy, not the “finance manager” had me sign everything. For fu<\$ sake, make that the norm. I love cars, but I absolutely hate going to the dealership.

789434. Called my dealer due to the prior post with 789397 getting cancelled pushed to MY22. I was in JB on 10/4 and yesterday (8 days). Today my 392XR is in JS (shipped to storage). For those who have received your 392, how long were you in storage before shipping (KZ)?

Sales Manager texted and told me my 392XR order as of now has a build plan for 10/25. Fingers crossed that holds true. Ordered 7/16. Hoping I get my Jeep by early December but I’m not holding my breath.

Drove our Billet Silver 392 for the first time this morning since taking delivery of our Sting Gray 392 on August 7. Took delivery of the Silver one on July 2 with 14 mi on it. My son and I followed no break in procedures on it from time we left dealer. I followed break in some what on the Sting Gray. They both run strong but Silver 392 is noticeably stronger than the Sting Gray. Had no idea since the Sting Gray runs so well. Just goes to show they run how you break them in!

I owned a Dynojet motorcycle dyno shop for over 10 years that I ran on the side. Had both a mobile unit and an indoor unit that I could also run 4 wheelers, trikes and side by sides. Dyno tuned over 3000 bikes during that time. Performed testing on two 2006 GSXR 1000’s, two 2008 Busa’s and two 2008 ZX-10R’s. On all 3 tests, break in was followed for 500 miles on one bike and second bike was run very hard from 20 miles. On all three tests, the bikes that followed no break in made more hp and tq than ones that followed break in. This is fact since I had data to prove it. Saw this on other bikes as well. Runs were always done same day, same conditions and back to back after bikes sat overnight.

Got this today, different but still the same. Translated, it means just keep waiting and it will ship when it ships!

I knew he wouldn't know but figured I'd ask anyway.
