Jeep chat is absolutely useless. They’re a paid buffer.I’ve asked 3 times in a 6 hour period and got Both parts not gathered and parts gathered response depending on who answered
Agreed. I still like to ask to kill timeJeep chat is absolutely useless. They’re a paid buffer.
Scott Blum said “minor changes”, but they haven’t been announced. But, given the price increase of $5, I don’t imagine it’s much.Anyone have any information on what might be new on the 2022? If nothing, then I’m good with picking up my 2021. If something new is added, then I‘ll consider going with the 2022.
Scott Blum said publicly on the FB owners forum yesterday, the April build date is crap. When Jeep starts MY22, 21s are done and they can’t ship a MY21 after 12/31/21. He also said they are not going to pause building 392s only to pick them up again in April. We ordered 06/25, Vin 789397
Dealer just called and said all of their 392 orders have been cancelled and converted to 2022’s.
I’m not too happy about this. Especially if they aren’t even going to start making 392’s again until April…
anybody else with the bad news??
The '22 order guide is posted here in another thread. Looks like its a carryover of the '21s build based on that. No mention of anything different that I could find.Anyone have any information on what might be new on the 2022? If nothing, then I’m good with picking up my 2021. Up Scott’s Blum for saying “minor changes”, but they haven’t been announced. The '22 order guide is posted here in another thread. Looks like its a carryover of the '21s build based on that. No mention of anything different that I could find.
...they can't even ship MY2021 XR392s on time, what makes you think they will ship MY2022s on time?Scott Blum said publicly on the FB owners forum yesterday, the April build date is crap. I already gave them $40k and they still treat me like I owe them a favor.Pretty much the same dealer experience... the attitude is, youre lucky we even placed the order and took your deposit at all, if they decide to build it we will let you know when to pay us the rest.
“On time” LOL - C’mon @Membrain, really? you know there’s no such thing in Jeep-speak. But seriously, I don’t think anyone, including Jeep, can accurately predict when MY22s will be delivered with the supply chain and labor issues. No matter what they predict, they’ll be wrong....they can't even ship MY2021 XR392s on time, what makes you think they will ship MY2022s on time?
I'm tacking the MY2021 metrics... it is what I see...
...and Scott Blum on the FB 392 group has a bit of conflict of interest... he is biased.
We have 3 apparent forms of communication, Jeep Chat (useless), Dealer PO status (close) and Scott Blum on FB giving vague responses (can't really blame him)... 4 if you count anyone's particular random guess... I'll call this #4 "*MSU".

10/06/21 Text from Dealership: Your Wrangler 392 has arrived in El Mirage and is currently waiting for transport to our dealership. I will let you know when it arrives at our dealership. Should be 3-5 business days.
10/08/21 Walked into the Dealership. Already had loan approved on my own but they decided to pull my credit without my permission and attempted to sell me a new loan. Walked out.
10/12/21 Picked up loan check from Credit Union and the deal couldn't have gone any smoother.
My seller wouldn't speak to me and had someone else handle me instead.
Drove home in my new 392.
Lesson to be learned:
1. Always have the loan check in hand.
2. Don't use CUDL system to process your loan. The dealership will pretend your loan didn't go through and try to sell you their loan.
3. Never let the Dealership pull your credit, if they try to use the Patriot Act as an excuse, tell them that is not true and then instruct them to show your the section that states a car dealership must pull your credit. (It isn't in there)
Bonus lessons for new buyers:
1. Get your insurance before you go to pick up your vehicle.
2. Don't take the extended warranty. 3rd party like Endurance or MPP are much better and often cheaper.
3. If they say you owe X amount for an alarm they had to install on the lot, say NO, take it off.
4. Don't fall for leather or paint protection. It is a scam.
5. Don't get the window etching. You don't need your vin etched into your window. It is pointless.
