Did a quick search and couldn’t find anyone else posting about this. I noticed on my 2021 JLUR with the one-touch top that it has these extra seal things that seem to keep the water from dripping in when the door is open. It’s on the two front doors. My 2020 (hard top) doesn’t have this. Is it a one-touch specific feature or is it the 2021 fix?

Mine is doing the same thing. And I’m getting some water inside when doors are closed and it’s raining.

Now these are something i hafta buy!!! that stream of water just pissing onto me and into my Jeep when it rains is annoying.
Waste of money, I have them and water still comes in. Good luck!

Definitely NOT a 2021 fix. I have an 80th edition JLU with the premium soft top and when it rains down here in Florida, which is every afternoon, you can see the water pouring down the side of the window and when you open the door, its a waterfall into the Jeep!
The extended rain gutters that Arterius2 suggested have horrible reviews online about them not sticking well and flying off at highway speeds.
The ventshades I put on helps push the water more forward ahead, because of the angle, but still drains inside when you open the door.
I have them, I live in Florida, I bought the cheaper ones off AliExpress and they work for me. If you really want something taped on to stick, use this first: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B3I1JR6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Ford engineers solved this problem with the new Bronco by designing their hardtops with raised lips at the outer edges of the hardtops that channels water onto the windshield, not the interior.

Agree with everyone. 2021 with SOT and the water comes inside. Very annoying. Never really noticed it with old Jeep but probably because that has a different top and more rugged.
To switch gears on the OP, what I also find annoying given now I have a 4 door is why the rear doors only swing out 45 degrees and not 90deg or something wider to get stuff in and out. Not logical given the does come completely off or if you remove the bolt on the limited they swing right open.

So was there any consensus on what this piece is for, is it more of an inner seal to reduce leaks at that corner when the door is shut?
