I have the same problem and I have a 2018 with the hard top so I think it is just a JL problem not depending on the year.Did a quick search and couldn’t find anyone else posting about this. I noticed on my 2021 JLUR with the one-touch top that it has these extra seal things that seem to keep the water from dripping in when the door is open. It’s on the two front doors. My 2020 (hard top) doesn’t have this. Is it a one-touch specific feature or is it the 2021 fix?
And my 2020
There are only two fixes I know of (with any Jeep over the past 30 years) to prevent water from dripping on your head when you open the door: (1) Buy a hat; or (2) Don't buy a Jeep.Did a quick search and couldn’t find anyone else posting about this. I’ve been thinking this same thing.Wouldn’t just a dab of silicon caulk at the leading edge of each gutter solve the problem?

So Matt do you feel that these added chanels on your JLU w skytop actually help with keeping the rain out? And if you do, does anyone know what the part number is so we can by them?Did a quick search and couldn’t find anyone else posting about this. Tried this with not much success. The Jeep has a slight rake sitting lower in the front, so once the channel fills up it overflows the silicone bump.I’ve been thinking this same thing.
These do not work...if you follow the instructions they want you to 3m tape the part to the A piller and then glue it to the hardtop also, and well if you did that you wouldn't be able to take off the top. I bought them. I double sided them onto the a piller tested it out and the water manages to pour out at the end of the tops gutter and only a little bit goes through the extended gutter. So I took them off and returned them. Now these are something i hafta buy!!! that stream of water just pissing onto me and into my Jeep when it rains is annoying.
