Edit: Dyno was not recording or reading correctly in these videos. Skip to page 4 for actual Dyno sheet from recorded pulls

So I decided to break my brand new 2021 3.0 Diesel in on a Dyno for optimal performance and piston ring seating. Here are the results.

FCA claims the powerband is at its peak in the 1,400 to 1,600 range. Well the Dyno says much different...

Peak TQ is reached in the 2,000 rpm range on my motor which the entire Jeep is bone stock in this video except the rear bumper is off.

Here is how it breaks down if you play the video in slowmo.

@2,097 RPM I hit 510 Ft Lb of TQ
It only goes up from there until
@2,829 RPM it hit its MAX TQ of 547 Ft Lb
TQ still stays above 500 Ft Lb until
@3,174 RPM it finally falls to 499 Ft Lb

So the entire time from 2,097 to 3,174 RPM it was pumping out over 500 Ft Lb of TQ at the rear wheels. In 6th gear (1:1 on this transmission)

Yes it pumped out 547 foot pounds of torque at the rear wheels!!! Not the crankshaft. This is on a Mustang Dyno which is known to have about a 20% drivetrain loss on AWD / 4WD vehicles as compared to the power at the crank.

Sorry - don't believe these numbers at all - something wasn't setup right for correction factors on the dyno
This is an extremely reputable spot. Possibly the most reputable in SoCal.

I saw them enter all the Jeep’s info before we started. Although they are the experts not me so all the numbers they entered are beyond my comprehension.

Either way believe what you want the torque curve is still way higher than what the factory claims and I’ve seen other Dyno charts as well which show similar results. Peak TQ is reached in the 2,000 RPM range. Not the mid 1,000 like the factory claims.

Also here’s another pull on the same Dyno where I do 2 pulls, 1 from 1,000 RPM and then an immediate second pull from about 2,000 RPM

It hits 540 TQ. Max on the first pull and 541 on the second.

something isn't right with that... look at your horsepower through the video it only gets to 60 hp, and below it even says 65 hp and 120 lb ft as your maxes on a run... someone made an error, and sadly you're not making 550 ft lbs to the wheels... I wish that were the case.

Something is weird with the HP # for sure.

The readings at the bottom were not from a pull. That’s why it says test stopped in yellow. It won’t let you record for long periods of time. Only short bursts and I was on the Dyno for about 2.5 hours so most of it was in this “Test stopped” mode.

I asked the guy if it affected the readings and he said no it shouldn’t. It just won’t keep record.

Do you have a picture of the graph? Hp and tq should intersect at 5,252.
No unfortunately, the graph portion only reads while you’re recording.

They were supposed to email me a couple logged runs but I don’t think they ever did

Props! If that is how you broke in your new motor, sir you are a BMF'er

I agree that something is wrong, if you assume the 20% parasitic loss from the mustang dyno that would mean 656 ft-lbs at the crank (547 x 1.2 = 656.4). Marketing materials show 260hp 442ft-lb, so there is no way yours is making 214 ft-lb more than the factory says.

Unless you put a tune on and didn't tell us...

Can the axles even handle that much? lol I don't know anything about the rear ends on the Jeeps, just asking.
