Is this towards the front, back or middle of the vehicle? Going to get under it for the first time ever to take a look.
not sure, that is Cyphers pic. my rubicon sept build is taking a dirt nap in my back yard under a car cover for the winter. just look on the driver side axle tube bracket look at the welds. I would guess you will be notified if you won the lottery and are one of the 3000. Maybe get a whole new axle. I ordered mine and it has a whopping 140 miles on it before I put it away. I spent a month rust proofing it.

@JeepCares I have a 2020 Rubicon impacted by this with a build date of 08/29/2019, and one of the impacted part numbers. When I called my local dealer they said they have never heard of it, and that there is nothing they can do. What type of documentation can I get for this? I also need a flash for my backup sensors going off that there is a tab for, but that as well they said they could not replicate and refused to address. I plan to keep driving my 2020, but looking at the LCA mount just now the weld was off and I don't want to risk an issue. But I also don't want to be without a Jeep for months while a fix is researched. This is my 3rd JLUR after my 2018 having bad frame welds and a stop sale, my 2019 being repurchased and now this. Any guidance is appreciated.

here is a picture of my LCA mount. One weld is perfect, the other pretty much misses the LCA bracket completely. I did nit look at any others, just this one for an example.

Hey, Cypher. Please know, if your vehicle is included in this recall, a letter will be mailed with you with next best steps. At that time, if you would like our assistance, please reach back out.

By way of comparison, I crawled under my Jeep a bit ago.....

my Jeep was built 10-20-19 (inside date range) but VIN not showing a recall in the system. Here is an image of the driverā€™s side front LCA bracket (I think). Looks fine to me......thoughts?

Oh great, mine was built Oct 25, 2019 and may be recalled :swear:

Kate,

Since FCA seems to be saying that the recall wonā€™t even start until 3/14/20, making an appointment with the dealer ā€œas soon as possibleā€ may not be the best advice. While FCAā€™s documentation posted on the NHTSB site clearly indicate that all dealers have been notified of this recall and any suspected un-sold vehicle in dealer inventory been put on a do not sell list, one poster here wrote that he approached his dealer about this recall and the dealer did not know about this recall and couldnā€™t help.

Mine was built in August 2019, you can see my post in here with picture that my 2020 Rubicon has this issue for sure. I only checked the one bracket, I'm sure others are also off.
Mine was built 8/19/2019 and just checked all welds. It was one of the axles listed, however, all welds were really nice. The ones you have shown in the photos are bad. Mine is a 2dr Ruby. While I was underneath I checked every weld I could see and all were fine.

Your 3rd jeep? holy crap I would have never bought a jeep again after the 2nd one. My has already started to give me problems and I tempted to jump on a Colorado ZR2 or Tacoma. I dont have patience for shitty QC and long dealer wait times.
